Well I thought I would share pics of my cabinet let me know what ya think...I have a 31" crt shoe horned in it. (last pic is almost completed cab).

If I may make a request from anyone willing, I would like a custom control panel overlay to cover up that ugly tankstick overlay.

Definitely has potential. Might struggle mounting a 31' CRT in it though. You have a coin door? I just got my coin door mechs working and configured in MAME and it really gives it a true arcade feel to be able to drop in a quarter and actually get a credit in game :) The possibilities are endless in cabs!! Have fun!!

Here is mine btw:

last pic lower right you can see just a bit of the coin door...it will actually have two...I plan on wireing them up.....yea the 31 might be much, if so I'll use the 20"

Your cab is awsome, I too hope to get the buttons lighted but that will be for another time.

pssh. Don't go with a 20". If you have the 31, use it. you only have to put it in 1 time then it's done. AND it'll be a lot better for lightgun games.

Wow. Talk about a tight fit! Pretty cool though, you don't really need a bezel now. Just finish the edging and you're good.

Yea...I think I'm gona see what tinting the glass lightly will look like to hide the monitor slightly.....any suggestions as to what type or darkness?...anyone

Well, for my new mame machine, and my pincabs, I painted a solid black border on the glass/plexi. If you use a flat black spraypaint on the backside, you will get a really nice shiny finish on the front side. If you just want to tint it, I would buy the do-it-yourself auto tint.

Here's some pictures of how the glass and plexi look finished..

I had just tried to set the glass down to see if the monitor was far enough back to clear and it has bowed the sides a bit so the glass wont set on the ledge...lol...well it is a project that never ends right?

Screw in an angle iron frame to support the glass?

I found something like 3/4 round moulding I think will work...I'll paint it black and nail it to the inside...well see what that looks like.

Real happy to be able to contibute to this great cab, currently working on my own. What kind of cabinet is that? You're own construction?

Was originally a TMNT cab converted to TEKKEN at one point...I have the guts to it and the Wells Garner monitor that no longer worked.
