View Full Version : Remote power on for monitor

I had a great Idea for my monitor since it's an old dog with a manual button to turn it on and off. I figured I could wire an automotive relay into the computer power supply to switch on the monitor if I spliced inline with the power cable...

Maybe a pic will help explane:

The red and white wires not connected will got to the powersupply.

you could also use this:

Definitely an option and cheap enough too...But if your a do it your self kinda guy like me, I'm gonna find a way...besides it was free.
