Hi guys.
Nice to see you again.
I'm lost for a while, doing arcade dessings, but, finally I've done the VP9 version for the GNR table.
http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/8452/gunsandrosesw.png
Here's the list of changes of this version:
-Redone entirely the playfield and change the size too
-Playfiled and Apron images with best quality
-Added Red and Yellow Jackpots lights on the playfield
-Take away all Reels and Decalls. Now the table is entirely free view.
-Transparents Ramps. HR must be active.
-All light images are been changed, no more decalls on the lights.;)
-Better G ramp.
-Added more force on the Bumpers and Slingshots
-Addes more pysichs to the table. (Slope and gravity)
-Optimized (I guess) for non top computers....(plays well on my PIV 2'8 at 1050x1680...yihaaaaaaaa!!!!)
Add this to your Visual Pinball database:
<game name="Guns and Roses">
<description>Guns 'n Roses (Data East 1994)</description>
<manufacturer>Data East</manufacturer>
<year>1994</year>
<type>SS</type>
</game>

Sweet man, I like how you add the fine details like all the little wires going to the flashers and switches. Thats the first I seen someone do that, I was considering doing that on my next table. Great work.

Yeah....the original pinball has a lot of wires to chose....:P
Flying Dutchman, nice to see/read you again.;)

Hi guys.
One thing I forgot to mention.
Yesterday I spent the half day, testing the table and don't find any glitches, but......my two eyes are not enough, so, would be great if somebody find anything during gameplay will be agree with all coments and suggestiosn.
Only one thing more...(and last).....play the table, yes....but...PLAY IT LOUD!!!!!:)

Ran into 3 slight problems on this absulutely fantastic table remake
* Ball got stuck partly behind the R and O drop targets
* When ball went out of play while Duffys Riot was going on, it didnt stop the countdown. When countdown was at 0 it then finally registered that the ball was gone
* The ball hits the left patience lane _a lot_. I have never played the real table, so dont know if this is as common as it happens on this remake
Other than that - totally fantastic!!! It beats the old 16:9 remake by lightyears. I hope you take on some of the other tables too that need a visual upgrade.
/T
Awesome work man! Thank you very much.

Hi ThomasLund.
I will fix the R/O back side.
Also, the Duffys Riot works on the same way as the original Pinball.
On my GNR pinball, the ball didn't launch until the countdown reaches zero....so, this is not an error.
Also, the Patience lane is common to reach a lot of times on the real pinball.;)
Thanxs for the advice.:)
Cheers.

Really awesome to see you posting your releases here LH. You've always been one of the masters. That GNR looks awesome! Did you ever make any progress with that Monster Bash you said you were going to do awhile back? Or Tommy?
Check out some of me and Unclewilly's night mod tables for your cab. TOTAN and Flintstones. I think you'll enjoy them.

Good to see you around LH, and thanks for an excellent update - its going into DuoPin (my cab) tomorrow.
Thanks again,

I think the .zip file is now corrupt. It says it is an invalid zip file for me when I try to unzip.

The release pack is stuffed up as well for some reason. Hyperpin playfield is horizontal and the wheel image too big? The file names had to be changed to match the database entry?...Can someone fix this up if this is an official release?
Also no answer to the above play problem...hopefully this bump can get all these issues sorted as Lord H has done some terrific work here...Cheers.

Also, you can only shoot the guitar neck 1 time per game. The ball never disappears from the saucer and blocks any further balls from entering.
anyone up for a repackage of there files?

Bent .. try Flying Dutchman's 'Backglass Paradise' for the Backglass and/or UVP. ;)

I'm having trouble with this table. When I make the mode start shot at the guitar, it seems a copy of the ball stays in the kicker, blocking all other shots into mode start. Is anybody else having this problem? Is their somthing I could add to the script that would destroy the ball at the kicker?
Iceman5000
03-13-2010, 05:17 PM
Edit line 319 in the script:
From this
Sub sw37_Hit:bsEject.AddBall 0:End Sub
to this
Sub sw37_Hit:bsEject.AddBall Me:End Sub

Cool..Thank you. Man I was fiddling with that for a while. I just copy n pasted
that line in, and now it works. It was kind of a game-breaking bug for me, so I hope this will help someone else. You are the Man!!! The IceMan!! LOL

imo search for "rol" or "ror" (in the tables script) and change it from 0 to 1, or backwards and don't forget to save the table.

I'm loving playing this table, but I can't see the ramps. You said in the description that HR needed to be active. What's HR?
Numiah
03-24-2011, 08:55 AM
Hardware Rendering.
Depending on what version VP you use it's either on the right in options, or in the video preferences options.

I found it, but it slows the table down too much. Guess I'll play with invisible ramps, then!\
Numiah

It's a fun table to play, but geezzzz, the ball is HUGE
What version of VP are you using barklay and what OS and videocard + drivers ?
If you're using ATI it could be due to that.

Does anyone know of a link to a FS download of this table? The only one I have found goes to Megaload.
Thanks,

Thanks! Yeah...no more table downloading after all night card games. At the very least I won't be adding them to Hyperpin in that condition. Had quite a few XML problems from that as well....

I like this table alot, but I think it could use some layback settings. Has anyone changed the layback a bit and can post their results? I played around with it a bit, but once I change the layback, the ball won't make it to the rollovers. I guess the autoplunger needs adjusting.

This table is pretty much unplayable. The ball will not clear the trough at launch. I tried adjusting the plunger settings, but this does not make any difference.

Hi guys,
Trying to catch up on FS tables while awaiting my pincab and I'm kind of embarassed to say this, but I don't see a link on the first post for this table. Even the master list located at the following link doesn't have a direct link to the table download at hyperSpin. Now, I may very well be going blind after spending something like 20 hours in the past 4 days (and still putting in a regular work shift at work!) just looking at xml files and vp table scripts lol. anyway any help is appreciated :)

I tried that one hour ago and it went to a site that said "you have a virus" and of course it took a couple of clicks to get through, so I figure the link was dead. Trying it now, it bloody works fine. Go figure but thanks for making me retry Zoltar CAUSE IT WORKS NOW! :)
