Rossicomputers, I thought we discussed this before, please read rule #5 and #8 of the forum rules.

Did you ask JP for specific permission to release this table? The announcement doesnt even follow the standard announcement format either. We are already working on this table. We prefer to review all release that get posted on our forums to ensure format, instruction cards etc.. all in one official package. Removing link.

I was converting the table and had a problem. When I operated the right flipper it causes the table to nudge and then tilt. Is anyone having this problem? This doesn't happen on any other table but this one. This is not Rossi's mod, I did it myself.

Here are the numbers:
Incl 45
FOV 0
ROtation 270
x scale 1.88
y scale 2.07
x off -300
y off 400

I have actually just finished converting the table for the OFFICIAL release, i'm just finishing the Media pack for it now....Rossi's version appears to be missing the lights at the back of the playfield?? These had to be resized and repositioned as seen here...?

Update:
Ok I get the tilt even in the standard 4:3 version. If I hit the right flipper a few times the table nudges and will eventually tilt and stop the game. Tim are you getting this problem?

Seems to be fine in my version Tom, are you using different flipper buttons in VP? perhaps something is clashing?

Thanks Tim. I do use different buttons then standard but no other table has ever given me a problem. I have to go through the script and see if a buton is mapped in the script. The orginal table that was released with HP (non JP version) works fine.

Rossi don't get mad. BBB just doesn't want to piss any table makers off. That's why he wanted to make sure you asked JP before the release.

When I did TOTAN, TFTC, etc from JPs first VP9 releases I asked JPs Permission and he granted it. I gave them to Scott so the artwork could be done as I knew I wouldn't do a nice job with that stuff.

BadBoyBill
08-18-2009, 04:50 PM
I guess he doesnt have to ask permission from himself to release his own tables. So Im not to concerned about LH's stuff really.

But you on the other hand like to leave alot of alot of stuff from the tables, missing reels, missing lights etc.. which is just a half ass job and you dont give the original authors table justice that way. You dont give credit for the wheel images or other artwork like the rest of us do. You dont ask permission from authors to release their tables. JP did not give blanket permission that does not include you. You should really ask him yourself and not think that the HP permission includes yourself. You also dont like to follow the formatting we prefer to announce tables. You have consistently tried to break our forum rules by releasing mega packs of stuff. Just stop already rossicompters, your not helping. If you dont like our rules and dont want to follow them the please go elsewhere.

I actually didnt realise that, i just did a complete conversion, some people may find the lights at the back helpful...I sure would if i was playing a two player game. I would need to know if player 1 was to shoot again etc...

Give Bill a break Rossi. Bill is doing FVP for the first time. It's still a beta. The program is running very nice on mine for the most part.

Thanks for discouraging him just because your not getting what you want right away. He said he will work on it, give the guy a break.

+1 with Tom, Flash VP is in such an early stage, its not fair to judge. Just because something isnt performing 100% on your system doesnt mean it 'IS SUCKS'...

And before anyone says anything about why they Rossicomputers was banned, you must know that I know that Rossicomputers was using our private message system as his own personal file distrubution system which cleary breaks our forum rules. I know who the recipients are and your fine but if this goes on you better be the first to tell me about whats going on.

WOW........ look at this crazy stuff, Am i at the old vp forum. First off, This isn't really an open upload site like vpforum or pinball nirvana. As a team we are trying to provide quality tables with quality artwork. If you were a table author and making the tables from scratch like Lord Hiryu, or JP, Or Groni, Or Destruk it would be a different story. You are trying to post a table mod that you didn't specifically get permission to do. I specifically spoke with jp and asked if we could convert and release modifications of his tables for cabinet users. This permission was given to me so we could release the tables and assure the quality of the tables.
If you feel it is necessary to release every table ever made and new tables instantly when the come out at vpforum reguardless of how the quality of you conversion is, feel free to do so on your own web site. The purpose of us releaseing the tables is so we can keep the quality at a level that our users have come to expect.

Reguarding FVP....... It specifically atates at the top of the release thread that it is a test. Bill is trying to make something that could potentially benefit the whole community. It is nice that you are discouraging him and potentially hurting the whole community in the process, solely for the fact that the test table doesn't run the way you want it to on your hardware. FVP at this very early stage runns very well on my system and it is by far not a powerful pc. We are just trying to figure out the bugs at this point so it will be usable by everyone.

It is a shame that you have such a temper because we will not host you releases, this is because we do not want to piss off any of the authors who gratiously allow us to make quality fullscreen tables available to our end users. The internet is a large place and if you want to make your releases available to the public you can surely set up a web site, as Flying Dutchman did for his animated backglasses.

The problem arises when you specifically break forum rules as stated in the hyperpin main forum
And i quote:
"Due to recent activity in the HP forums, I have decided to put down a few rules about posting here so it is clear on what is allowed and disallowed. We are merely a frontend for Future Pinball and Visual Pinball. In order to maintain good relations and keep moving in a positive direction with those programs we ask you to please follow these simple rules.

1. DO NOT post images, links, video's, how to's or questions about hacking either Future Pinball or Visual Pinball in any way shape or form.

2. If an image or video shows a hacked version of a pinball similuator we will not show the media here.

3. DO NOT ask how to rotate or remove the Future Pinball splash screen or how to remove any watermarks in the program.

4. DO NOT use our private messaging system to share information on hacked files.

**5. DO NOT share modded or unmodded tables here that you do not have specific permission from the author of the table. Each individual author must give permission to share any of their work. They worked hard on their tables so we believe they should have a say so in how its distributed.**

**6. DO NOT provide file hosting links to big packs of tables. Such as links to megaupload or rapidshare.**

7. DO NOT post links to rom files here or ask how to get them.

**8. If you do mod a table and wish to share it here, please contact us so that we can put together a full package for the end users.**

If you read these rules this topic would not be here in the first place

This is just my opinion and if anything i said offended anyone, i appologize. This is a very peaceful forum that is why i enjoy posting here, and i would hate to see that atmosphere spoiled. That's why the rules were put in place to begin with

Noah F. gave me the answer over at VPF.org. Had to do a simple adjust to the script. Now everything works as it should. If anyone has the same problem you can see the post over in JPs Black Knight release thread.
Works great now.

1 - It never ever hurts to ask permission. It's called respect. How someone always feigns personal injury when they feel they don't need to do something so simple, I'll never undertand.

2 - I'm sure Rossi is an ok guy, but the lack of patience shown time and again seems to be his downfall. Just relax Rossi and be patient, things will come WHEN they come.

3 - That Bill line? Dude, it shows you off as just an immature kid. Surely you are better than that?

4 - "Old VP Forums" HEY! I resemble that remark! ;)

The old forums was cool too. Sure, some users tend to get too hot under the collar too, but find me one family that doesn't have its characters, right? That's what makes life interesting :D I know I'll never trade back the times I had there at its peak, glad I was part of it in some small way.

I agree with that, I didn't post much back in the day, but i was sure entertained by the characters on that forum. I also met a lot of really good people too that aren't around anymore.

man...why do I miss all the good stuff? I probably would have liked the old VP forums :D

bye bye Rossi. You seem like a nice guy but I need two hands and two feet to count the amount of times you broke forum rules regarding table releases, etc. You would think by now you have enough tables to play in between releases instead of pushing/rushing/demanding for more releases. I wasn't surprised that you attacked BBB after he called you out. That seems to be your MO on the forums you frequent.

There is a reason why we have rules here...we want to protect the integrity of what other people have created so we can continue to provide content. It's that simple. Most people are content with just sitting back and downloading new releases when they become available. If anyone wants to contribute, contact BBB, UW, el_timbo, or myself by PM with some ideas on how you can help out.

We can always use more help! What we don't need is people going rogue and doing their own stuff on this site. We work as a team and we have certain standards. I think everyone understands that...well almost everyone.

Good riddance and long overdue.

Thanks for all the work that you all put into the quality table releases that you put out.
