Im having this same problem whenever i use Hyperspin on a computer running winXP for some reason. My mame cabinet and computer at work both have had this error shortly after downloading usually the second time i go to launch hyperspin it will do this. But my home computer which runs vista has not had any problems as of yet. What could it be guys?

That is the error log it gives me. I recently installed vista on my mame computer to try and run hyperspin again. While setting everything up i was using a LCD monitor and everything was going fine. No boxfile errors but as soon as i hooked up my mame cab monitor threw the JPAC i got the error imidiatly. So for some reason whenever i run video threw the JPAC i get this error. While using the LCD monitor i had the jpac hooked up and converting buttons but its just when i hook up the old arcade monitor that causes problems. Any ideas? thanks

sounds like the display just doesn't support hyperspin? I'm no expert when it comes to displays, but if it works with one and not the other, it could be too high a resolution / refresh rate? Not 100% sure :(

Well the thing that gets me is hyperspin will run fine the first time i set it up on the arcade monitor. I can run it for hour straight but once i exit and try to restart i get the above error. Im running 640x480 so i know hyperspin supports that at 60hrz.

(edit) i just checked windows said i was at 200hrz refresh rate, but the quick res program said 60hrz. Hmm so now both are on 60 i will see if that changes anything.

Hmmm, i dunno ive been playing around with it somewhat, seems that when i changed everything to 60hrz it slows the boxfile error from coming up. But to correct the boxfile all i have to do is copy a working SP.exe over the one with the boxfile and it will work fine again.

ok .. i get the same freaking fatal error bocfile corrupted with some game.. named KO... and ur problem is just that u have a worm in ur system... i recomend you to format ur pc or try to clean it from viruses but i think thats imposible..! good luck.. this worms attacks every exe in ur system...!
