Tin Star

Pretty much the only animation is the Sheriff on his horse riding back and forth across the screen.

I know I need to clean up a few of the images but I'm just after some feedback, sugestions, critisisms etc.

I love it...
The backround seems cut off at the bottom.

Id move it down or edit it..

Great theme

Yeah, unfortunately that's where the marquee that I got the picture from finishes.

I didn't like the look of it moved down, I'm open to any other suggestions. :banghead:

Thanks.

Its here now :D

One thought about the black letterboxing. Maybe create some sort of frame around it (top and bottom) that is something besides black so it looks intentional. I am assuming that is the background image, right?

Thanks for moving billpa.

I actually have it as artwork1 but I think your suggestion will work, I'll have a play around with it.

Okay I didn't do the frame, I added some more graphics instead, what do you think?

Nice theme man, I like it alot, the small taito logo might need to be contrasted in.

Thanks Bill, you are going to have to explain to me what contrasted in means though.

Sorry, same as i was saying with the other themes where the black isnt really black, and the yellow isnt really the yellow since the images has low contrast. So either increase the contrast or lower the lower end of the RGB curve in the curves menu which works better than contrast, but I think you already know all that since your previous themes were fixed pretty good. I was just suggesting doing the same to the taito logo.

Ah, no worries.

Played around with the colours, hopefully better, I don't seem to have eye for detail that you have Bill, so make sure you keep pointing out that sort of stuff.

I finally got around to DLing this and approving it. It looks good! One thing though...your theme does not come to a rest until 3-4 seconds have passed by. I would try to make things go a little quicker as most people do not want to sit there for 4 seconds for each theme. I just opened up the xml and played with some faster timings until I liked it. Everyone can edit to their own taste. Just thought I would give you a heads up for your future themes.

Thanks
Bill

Hey thanks Bill, I hadn't given much thought about people going through the list, I guess it would take a lot of time looking for a game to play if they all took that long. I better adjust my Circus Charlie before I release it, it makes Tin Star look fast. :turtle:

yea definitely. 1-2 seconds max for final rest IMO. You can always have small elements like chases or animated rests that keep motion going throughout. Good work though!
