I love the new Piball cab`s. I can`t wait to get the funds to build one.

I own an A/V company and was thinking it would be cool to build one using a projector and a piece of Stewart Filmscreens Starglass (http://www.stewartfilmscreen.com/residential/materials/rear_projection_screen_materials_rigid/starglas_100/starglas_100_residential.html) instead of an LCD monitor.

I don`t think it would be as cost effective but it would be a cool project.

That's funny that you mention this. I am working on using a projector for my backglass. Tests have been not too good so far but it's a great idea because you can completely fill up the backglass.

The stewart filmscreen looks good though, is it very expensive? I am just using the screen from an old projection tv that was cut to fit.

I've thought about this as well. Would reduce weight and cabinet temperature. Certainly worth experimenting with if you have a good projector. If I had a 1080p projector, I would do it. As it is, I only have a 1024x768.
