"Sort by" in downloads section

I have tried to use the sort by function found on the theme downloads site so that the themes would be sorted by date added to better keep track of the themes I have already downloaded and the news ones recently added. However, the sort by "date added" does not seem to work. Anyone know if this does work and perhaps I am doing something wrong? If not, I would really like to see this fixed as this would be my preferred way of sorting the themes and knowing exactly which ones I have download and make sure I don't miss any new ones.

I had that problem the other day, then I realized I was in the wrong section, as I was selecting "game theme" instead of "user themes" (which is where all the new ones are located). Try that, sorting by date there works perfect.

I tried it again. I am in the user theme section and all the other sort-by options work; but the date added defaults to alphabetical. Is this a bug?

I just tried it, works for me. It doesn't do a reverse order if you click it again, but when I click "date", I see the last files added "yesterday" since there have been none today.

I am not sure what I am doing, but when I click "date added"; it simply lists them alphabetically and not by the data added. The other sort categories work for me, but when I hit "date added", I am expecting to see all the added yesterdays at the top, etc., but that definitely doesn't happen for me.--I only get an alphabetical list with the date added all scrambled. Is this just me or is this a problem for anyone else? I don't know why this isn't working for me--frustrated.

Hi again arcadecab,

I thought I was getting the same problem as you yesterday, no matter if I was to click on "date aded", I wouldn't get the most recent themes (the KOF series). Then I realized themes created by the HyperSpin team aren't placed in the "user themes" section, but instead in the "game themes" section, which they are indeed there.

Is this potentially part of the issue you are having?

I am having the same problem. When you sort by Date Added, it just refreshes the list in order of the alphabet. Weird.

Hopefully this will get fixed eventually because it would be annoying to sift through hundreds of themes looking for what was newly added.

We are fully aware that the download system has some kinks... I am currently investigating other options, but we will have to make due with what we have for now.

Works fine for me, try clearing your cache or maybe a different browser.

It also works fine for me. I did notice something though since I spent the better part of the day (well, night really) downloading and installing *every* theme.

The dates seem to be the date listed by the author, not the date of approval.

19xx is currently the most recently added theme. (It got added while I was downloading all the themes.) Yet the date for it is 08-24-2008 instead of 08-28-2008.

It's a bit goofy as if you're looking for new themes and sorting by date then you might miss it since it wasn't put to the top. (Of the date list... it's at the top alphabetically obviously!)
