Very early raw preview of my Kangaroo theme. Still messing w/ a bunch of stuff with it. Colors, image placement and sizes, etc etc. The theme will have various Flash animations, like the bell swinging back, monkeys animation and such.

I am assuming you know there already is a Kangaroo theme (at least I think there is). Since this is an official theme announcement, could you please change the title of your thread to match the naming convention we use?

Hi Bill, for some reason I updated the title of my thread but it didn't update. Is there something else I need to to do? It made me give a reason for my thread rename. Is that normal? I'm thinking my theme may be too colorful....lol. Rly messing around w/ it still....

Is there a file size limit or an animation limit to a theme? I'm using my 1st theme as my learning process. One of my pieces of artwork is very flash heavy, when i put it into HS it causes the wheel to slow down and some other speed problems with the HS UI. Is there a target file size or animation limit for FLASH?

I finished up my Kangaroo alternate theme. This being my 1st one was more an exercise in theme building more so than anything. The theme contains an art layer of 2 monkey animations, strawberry and rainbow. I couldn't even include the swinging bell I made....I ran out of room. Maybe I'll add it at a later time when the disappearing wheel version of HS comes out.

Howcome you have to wait for the disappearing feature, I'd just cover the wheel up, since your not gonna see it anyway in later versions.

Just some suggestions I think could improve the theme:

Move the video over the wheel and make a rounded video frame the same style as the logo.

Reverse image the kangaroo and put on left side.

Add your cool bell (if you have enough artwork folders left).

And lastly I think the logo on the theme looks way better than the logo on the wheel, I think it's a marquee, if not it looks like it and kind of looks like the odd one out compared to all the other wheel logos.

Anyway just my 2 cents worth, feel free to disregard. :)

Love the theme but I notice that it is missing the wheel image in the download. I just copied the title to the wheel folder so not a big deal. Maybe you could fix this and reupload.

Dont just copy the layer over , before approving make sure there is a wheel image, because wheel images must be 400px wide, if you have images greater than that then HS is going to have to go through more loading and more scaling which will slow the wheel down. Also HyperTheme will not allow you to have an image > 400px for wheel images to help that. So this theme will be incompatible when importing the theme.

K, it's ready.....This theme has more animations that any that I've seen so far other than maybe Chicken Shift. I included all the necessary files. Theme contains various art animations including a swinging bell. Great work on HyperTheme Bill...thx!

Will be uploading it for approval in a few minutes.

i uploaded it for approval a few days ago but for some reason it has never shown up yet....i'm not sure what happened to it.....ive been waiting to see ready for download as well....

let me knowThe version that I downloaded and approved had the bell in Artwork3. It is in an SWF file.

Although I have the swf in the artwork3 folder, the bell doesn't show up for me either. Perhaps I'm using the wrong xml, from the other Kangaroo theme. I'll check into it.

I bet its because both themes are overlapping, you cant install a theme without first removing the files from the other theme.
