HyperSpin Update Problem Help?

I downloaded the update file to my desktop and go to run the update i get a log.txt that says the following:

10:30:34 AM | HyperSpin Started
10:30:34 AM | Error Missing File: Settings.ini
Possible Solutions:
-Check that Settings.ini exists in Settings Folder
10:30:34 AM | Quiting program


Im not sure whats going on here i checked the file locations wich are not missing so im at a loss since im still new to this kinda of stuff.

just replace the hyperspin.exe in your hyperspin folder with the one downloaded (rename it to hyperspin.exe)

So your saying you have your HS installation extracted to the desktop and that you have a folder on your desktop called Settings?

You need to replace the old exe with the new exe. The update is not an update in terms of updating the original software. Its a wholesale change.

Don't worry it caught me out too until I read the log. :D

The word update in the filename is confusing it makes the file appear to be a patch.
