View Full Version : 1 Gamelist, Multiple Emulators?

I'm wondering if it is possible to make a gamelist which has various different emulators. Basically my computer is too slow to run Killer Instinct with Mame. The sound stutters and it doesn't run at full speed. (P4, 3 ghz, 1.5 gigs of ram, with Geforce 5900 XT video card for reference - hyperspin even lags a bit on occasion.)

Anyways, both KI1 and KI2 run beautifully in U64Emu... but since those are the only games that the emulator supports creating an entire gameslist for it is a bit much - I'd like to simply keep Killer Instinct with the MAME group but have the U64Emu Emulator load it up when it's selected.

In the future I will probably want to create gameslists of "2d Fighters", "Beat em Ups", etc which don't take into account what console/arcade/emulator they use.

I've also got a similar problem with Super Nintendo where I want most games loaded up with ZSnes but one of my favorite games (Super Batter Up) only works with SNES9x.... so I'd need to change the emulator for just that game but keep it in the same list.

Anyways - I'm sure you get my point by now. Is it possible to do this and if so how? If not - is it planned for the future?

This is planned for the future, I had support for this a while back but took it out so I could redo how it works, just havent gotten back to it yet.

Damn, well - thanks for the ultra-fast response at any rate! :) I hope to see support for this soon. I also read that an option to hide the wheel when it's not in motion was being worked on as well which would also be very nice. Great job on this FE. It's *very* nifty.

I am just wondering whether support for this has been reintroduced or if it is getting closer. I would like to run MAME, Daphne and Zinc off of a single wheel.

Cheers.

Bump... any progress with this yet?

I checked the feature page and it says ...
* Custom lists. Create your own classics collections. Combine games from different emu's into one list.

Is that what the OP is suggesting? If so, I need help setting this up.

Thanks in advance.
