Here is my cab I have decided to modify a little to place mame w/ hyperspin, and possibly an xbox360... the cab is fully operational in its original entirety. I plan to leave the artwork on the sides as is, in case I decide to sell it later for a candy cab or a better bigger cab with a newer moniter. I have fully fabricated a new control panel from scratch including the art, ( special thanks to the people at the shoryuken forums for alot of the art ), the button color layouts are not final, I am just using what I have at the moment. I plan to wire it up this week, I have a jpac and an ipac to program the buttons with, and an nvidia geforce 9400gt that I am pretty sure I can program to get the 15hz signal the moniter needs, btw... if anyone has any useful info on hooking the 360's video that isn't very costly it would be greatly appreciated!, let me know that you guys think.

I really like your idea for the background of the control panel, the black and grey logos. I was doing something similar for my setup. It really makes the colors stand out alot. Looks great!

what type of hinge did you use for your control panel. i was going to use a piano hinge but i was told it can mess it up when you cut it to size. Im using mdf also.

I got a 36 inch continuous hinge from Lowes, I got the thickest one I could find, color: chrome, I'd stay away from the brass ones, and don't cut one down, just buy the right length, ace hardware should have them too... I was afraid it wouldn't work because of the weight of the cp, but it works great, the edge on the box, I bolted on in a few places, and the edge on the actual cp is screwed on, also don't for get to pre-drill your holes for the wood, it will save you from cracking the mdf, and make it look really clean

Where to get it printed out and put on? I guess maybe a company do that for you?
Nice CP art looks awesome.
Will you be able to open the cp if its mounted to the cab with the hinges used?

That is looking very nice, The simpson's cabinet itself makes me feel all nostalgic (I skipped school once to go play it when it started appearing). Control panel art is very nice

A local company printed it for me on photo quality paper, i then had to cut out the holes for the buttons of course...

Yes, I will be able to lift the top open when it is mounted to the cab, it shouldn't be too hard to get to all of the wiring, but hopefully I wont have to ;]

Here are some new pics of the near final production of the cp...
I have integrated 2 xbox 360 controllers which work wonderfully, I used this guide
http://www.slagcoin.com/joystick/pcb_wiring.html
The wiring looks like kind of a mess, but it's actually well organized considering how many connections there are, it would look a little better if this wasn't my first cp...

I have an xbox 360 running it, I have the ability to switch between pc and 360... but, I plan on getting it to run with makaron soon, and it is fairly stable with the nulldc emulator on my pc, about 90%speed, hopefully a new videocard will fix the speed issue
