I was going to check out the Wiki today to see what info has been posted to it, specifically monitor resolution support, when I got the screenie shown.

I am using firefox 2 atm.

Just wanted to let the powers that bee know.

Thx,
Aceldamor

Hmm, what browser is that? Using Firefox 3 everything looks fine. It looks like it is an IE issue, I'll see what I can do. Actually, I am going to remove the Wiki link for now. Very little information is currently posted and what info is posted is pretty much outdated now. I'll re-open it if we need to, but I think the new forums and site will work better than a Wiki for this.

That's how it looks for me too. Suppose I'll get the latest Firefox..

I've removed the link to the Wiki for now. I am actually looking for something to integrate into vBulletin better than a Wiki.

Ya I really wish joymonkey was around, he could probably bust that wiki out in no time at all, plus all the work he did making that one, would be a shame to let it go. But whatevers best Im sure we will go with. Unfortnately he hasnt signed up yet for the new site yet.

I'll try and get a new wiki skin worked out over the next few days. Sorry for being away for so long; I guess my online ADD isn't getting any better.

Oh, and I guess with the new Vbulletin system, the Mediawiki file system that I set up to be used for browsing and downloading themes isn't needed anymore so I should probably remove it?
It would still take a little time to get it working 100% anyway.

Honestly I really don't think a Wiki will be needed anymore. I have another idea for documentation that I think might work out better than a Wiki... I'm going to do a quick test and run it by Bill shortly to see what he thinks. Also, vBulletin has some great addon's that we are looking into that would act as a Wiki and integrate seamlessly with the vBulletin system.

So, if you can't continue work on the Wiki at this time, then don't worry too much about it. I'd hate for you to waste time working on it if it isn't going to be used...

Well shit... that looks good. We will see what we can do. I don't know if what I want to do is going to work or not, so this is a good start for now.

I'm starting to set up my HyperSpin install from scratch (again), so I figured I'd document the process. Here's where I'm at so far...

Awesome write up JoyMonkey, answers a few questions I had. Now I can try and get busy with some theme creation.

Looks good JoyMonkey! Thanks given.

Only thing I see that you might want to change is how themes are installed on a computer. To make it simpler you can just extract the theme files to their respective emulator folder ie. MAME. In fact, I believe there will be a standard for zipping up a theme after it has been completed so you can do just that.

Thanks!

The only problem with extracting the files to their emulators folder is that I noticed some of the theme files in the downloads section don't have the correct folder structure in their zips, so extracting them as-is won't work.
The themes I noticed that have issues are Burger Time, Cosmo Gang, Mario Bros, MK, QBert, Moon Patrol and SFIII.

The file structures of zip files should all be the same once we have HyperTheme. I believe that HT is going to automatically contain the correct file structure when you save the finished theme.

We'll have to get those themes fixed for sure, when I'm done HyperTheme should fix the issue. But it still doesnt prevent a person from manually messing it up.
