Hello to all the community.

Is there any chance we could benefit from Merged/7z support in HyperSpin?

I have saved an insave quantity of HDD space from my MAME/No-Intro/GoodTools/redump.org sets rebuilding them into merged ones and packed with torrent7z, and I'd like to move from GameEX to HyperSpin for my cab project.

Thanks in advance.

Its possible, Ill add it to the feature request list for the next version. This could be written by someone else into hyperlaunch if they want to help.

I got around this by using winrar. It was a pain and not an ideal solution, but one none-the-less. :toilet:

* Highlight all your 7z files in Windows Explorer, right click and extract to seperate folders.

* Once this is done (can take aaaages on slow machines, and lots of hdd space to extact depending on roms i guess).

* Delete or move 7z files (if you plan on keeping them for updates later) out of the root so you dont get them mixed up later.

* Highlight all your newly extacted folders, and again right click and choose winrar, add to achive ...

* Choose ZIP archive format type, delete files after archiving (optional) and the key here is to go to files tab, choose 'put each file in sperate archive' and filepaths needs to be changed to 'do not store relative paths'.

* Click Ok and off it goes recompressing them as individual Zip

I guess for me though i didnt care to have any bootlegs, non-english, hacked etc roms so i tidied up by deleting before converting to zip. This is how i did it, and im sure im not the only one who has had this problem, so please post if you have done something similar or even used a simple 7z --> zip convertor tool.
