View Full Version : Do we know if HyperTheme has the same issue that HS has on older CPU's?
Youki was asking about this on the BYOAC forums.
Has anyone tested HyperTheme to see if it has the same issue that HS does on older CPU's? I haven't had a chance to try and was wondering if anyone with the blank screen issue has given it a shot.

It most likely 99.9% does have the same problem.

Well, my system is IMHO the minimum requirement to really enjoy HS. (P4 3ghz 1.5 gigs of ram, 5900XT video card) Several transitions really slow my system down but most are ok. Hypertheme however runs beautifully without any slowdown at all. Most likely because it obviously doesn't have background transitions and it isn't loading all the other themes into RAM.
I wouldn't be surprised if computers a lot slower than mine could run Hypertheme but not HS.

Oh like it doesn't load at all?! I don't know enough (read: anything) about that problem so I'd take BBB's word over mine on it.

hypertheme does not work with older cpu for sure. at least not my amd

works fine on my 3500+ amd. I have some older comps to test on to see.
