I've found some nice artwork to start my next favourite game, Rolling Thunder.
Not got as much time today/tomorrow. Please shout if anyone has started this. I've checked the Wiki and in this forum and can't see anyone having started it.

OK, managed to spend a few hours on knocking this up. Please let me know what I should improve on. The screenshot doesn't do it much justice. The Figure with the gun in the circle bounces around the screen and the two chars at the bottom rock a little.

I would remove the flyer and the cabinet pic : I think your theme is a bit overloaded of images.
And the logo is quite noisy too, I I would prefer it bigger.

I agree, too many characters. If I try to remove cabinet (fixed to flyer background), I'm not able to find anything to replace it with. I personally like seeing the cabinet too when all the other artwork fly away.
Anyway, I've cut out a big character and have had to spend a lot of cleaning him up!
I'm still not entirely happy and can't place my finger on it. Thoughts anyone???
TIA

I really like the dude with the gun (great picture) but you should move him down the screen so we can't see where you cut it off, you would then have to move the video down to the bottom right hand corner so it's not too covered off by the gun, which of course means putting the logo up the top somewhere.
I also think the logo would look better if you made the red transparent and same with the green dudes head.
And of course you have the problem of hiding the cab so perhaps nothing I suggested wil work anyway, pity you can't find another backgroud without the cab.
Anyway, you have all the elements there of really nice looking theme.
Look forward to seeing what you decide to go with.

Your 2nd is much better !
I agree wih Retroborg : the main character must be lower to hide the cut-off.

Retroborgs suggestions are right and you should adjust the colors because they look faded, easiest way to tell that is because the blacks arent really black.

Thanks for the comments so far. I've been very frustrated with this one. I thought it was going to be simple and it's turned out a right pain in the a***. Anyway. Thoughts now? I think it's 100% better...
I've sorted the flushed out blacks (thanks for tips in other threads).
I realised I could grab the right of the original background and then stretch it. As it is background, it looks good.
I know I need to finish of the dude with the big gun. There are a few jaggies/white pixels showing through that I need to remove before submit..
Good enough or anything else you can spot?

I think your video needs to be bigger.

MMM, ok I've resized the video a little more. If it goes much bigger then there was no point in having a background! :-)
Anyone else?

I like it the way it is on the last screenshot, about the background image, I dont think its hugely important to sacrifice video and artwork to see all the details of the background.

Right, I've gone with a video inbetween the two and am going to submit it now for approval....

It looks good but I can't approve it because the upload doesn't have a wheel image. Can you correct and resubmit?
Thanks,

Ah!!!!! The peril's of using HyperTheme and not having a working edit existing theme. My machine crashed between the second and third edit and I had to start again. Of course the wheel remained in HS and I missed this. Sorry for the confusion and it's now resubmitted.
