With multiple themes getting created and released daily I'm fairly confident that most people's Hyperspins aren't up to date. It just takes too much time to download and install all those themes. (Especially waiting 3 minutes in between each theme.)

Putting together a pack once per month of all the themes created that month would be a lot less painful for most people I think. It would simply be the images, themes, sound, and video folders in 1 torrent. (minus the flv files) Just extract one file and you've got all the themes already installed - complete with the mame gameslist.

I realize this creates the issue of which theme to use in cases where multiple themes for the same game exists but I think the benefits far outweigh the negatives on this.

I could probably put together a torrent for the first one as my hyperspin is currently up to date. I was just wondering how many people would be interested in this if I (or somebody else) did it.

You can always donate... It takes a while to make these themes ...eg more than 3 minutes... Please contribute to HS for a shorter wait.

The themes I'm making/have made don't count as contributions? :P

Still though I'm not even talking about the 3 minute wait time. Sitting there clicking on every single theme and having to install each theme individually is where the pain lies. Donating all the money in the world still won't solve that problem.

Hypertheme will have a theme installer. We are still in beta. It is just as painfull for us. Do you realize how much time it took to actually build that torrent and all configs. We got the solution coming soon. Please be patient.

We are still in our infancy. We are working on a theme rating system. Once your theme hits team themes you will get the badge and other perks like access to hidden forums and the limit removed. We just need time

I quite like the idea behind this, however having a theme installer would be handy as the files need to be added to the database in order to display it correctly. Good progress is being made on this project and it is quite quick! Can't wait for the theme installer!
