Here is a quick demo video of the new HS and it's features. I am so in love with the new version. I want to thank BBB for outstanding work. At the end of the video is another feature that i am now playing with. I forgot to mention it because I didn't know it was there til watched this video myself. In the Dreamcast theme the video is tilted on it's axis just like the wheel art. Man I can't wait till this gets its full release. Sry for the video quality I will do a better video later in 640 X 480.
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/yE8G9iZ5fzo&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/yE8G9iZ5fzo&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Image of the wheel art with that 3d tilt feature BBB made it is so freaking kool.

The video can be rotated on a 3d plane now. http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5708 Check out the Atari 5200 theme at how the video animates in.
Also, if you want to use screenshots you can.. The images can be placed into the video folder. HS will then check for .flv and if no video is present it will check to see if a .png exists.

Dude that does look sick...Could you always have those little marquees pop up and the controls for the game when you hover over the games wheel art? If so how? Thanks

Amazing work Bill! Every time I find out more, I grind at the thought of getting my cab built! This video made me think of an idea, but I'll post it in the features request thread.

This version looks fantastic. I just discovered HyperSpin a few days ago. I have to say it's really exciting to see so many developments made on, in my opinion, already the greatest FE I've come across.

Absolutely amazing! But, it's HyperSPIN right? Now without the titles coming in like they're on a wheel, it's not spinning much, is it?

This is like waiting for a highly anticipated game release :( So pretty. but then i cry because I know I can only look, and never touch, until an undisclosed amount of time passes.

AMAZING STUFF!! I am truly impressed!
Maybe I missed this info already, but I have some questions:
Is there any operating system restriction? i.e. win7 only? Will it run on XP?
Is there a x64 version of the program being developed?
Is this able to be shelled like current Hyperspin? Will it need the wrapper that many are using?
Since this version looks to exceed the previous in terms of visual brilliance, is there a set of minimum hardware requirements that we'll need to meet to run at full spec?
CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY PAWS ON THIS!!!

- No, must be a Windows machine though. Does not work in Linux and no Linux port coming.
Is there a x64 version of the program being developed?
- No, but I've been running it on Win 7 x64 and it runs great
Is this able to be shelled like current Hyperspin? Will it need the wrapper that many are using?
- I'm not sure... It probably is and will probably require the wrapper. I don't care for mine to be shelled, so I don't test this aspect of it.
Since this version looks to exceed the previous in terms of visual brilliance, is there a set of minimum hardware requirements that we'll need to meet to run at full spec?
- No official, but to get the best performance a dual core machine with 2 gb of ram. However, new optimizations are in place so this should run on lesser computers, but without most of the eyecandy and transitions.

That looks fantastic BBB and Co.
I did notice that the wheel images are now framed in some instances and aren't (genres for example) in others. Is it an option to have it be one way or the other. I think I prefer the same size and shape that it gives each item on the wheel and the 3d slant really gives it a slick look.
Is it just me or is the arrow not centered on the wheel for framed images?

And you can put the pointer wherever you want.
Keyser_Soze
01-07-2010, 11:29 AM
That's true. I forgot about the pointer positioning bit.
I just noticed. How did KB straighten out the wheel like that. It is usually rounded.
Either way straight, rounded, framed, it's still amazing eye candy for me.

Does horizontal work on 8.01? Never seen it in action and never got it to work.

Haven't got it set up all the way but so far it pretty much works for me on Win 7
