Can someone please tell me why so many people have 6 buttons for players 3 & 4? is there a game that needs 6 buttons x 4?

Can someone please tell me why so many people have 6 buttons for players 3 & 4? is there a game that needs 6 buttons x 4?Console emulation... I personally have 4 buttons for players 3 & 4 on my control panel, but when I emulate consoles I play using original controllers for that system.

Thanks Dazz I'm doing the same just lots of people have 6 buttons and throught i better check it out.

I did 6 on mine for 3-4 player. But it is more for the layout. Some will use the 4 button l pattern, so I use the bottom left and the top 3. I guess it is just a preference (and how much you really want to spend. I myself was wondering about the 9 button 1-2 player and 7 button 3-4 player console I say. It was a sweet layout, but A LOT of buttons.

Each person has their own preference when it comes to laying out their console.
