System select / game select art not working

On the main wheel with all the systems it says system select. when you select mame it still says system select when it should say game select.
Changing the settings mame.ini special art a and b to default no or false makes it so I get no art at the bottom in mame wheel. The right art is there in media/mame/images/special
any help?

its what came with the big torrent download.

well I got it going. special art A default =no and B =yes.
I thought I had read on here that they both had to be no.
