Would anybody happen to know how much power a cab uses on average? In comparison to other household things? I mean i guess its basically just your computer and a monitor... maybe I answered my own question

Depends - depends on your power supply, and on your power settings.

Because arcade monitors (at least the Wells Gardners) lose synch with power saving modes you'll likely want to disable those and just shut the whole system down when you aren't using it.
