Is there a best "one to have" N64 to usb converter?
Does anyone have or tried the:
http://www.adaptoid.com/
I heard they don't make this anymore, but that it worked perfect with emulators and did not require calibration when plugged in each time.
Any thoughts as I just covered up the 2" hole in my cab with a round flush powered USB hub.
thank you.. Danke!

I'm using a Mayflash brand adapter with two 3rd party N64 controllers. I got it all on ebay for less than $30 US. It works fine for me without recalibrating. I'm running Project64 1.7.

I have an adaptoid and it works flawless, if you can find one you should buy it. They sometimes pop up on ebay.
I'd love to have a couple adaptoids! I wish they would start remaking them again. :(

you can get the mayflash adapter for around $14-$17, it has two n64 controller ports so if you get 2 of these you can play 4 players!!! here's a couple links to places that sell it

Does anyone have any new information about the N64 adapters? I want to have 4 N64 controllers working on my computer. I have 1 Adaptoid which I bought for $30 when it first came out. I just bought a second Ataptoid that I saw on Ebay for $125. (I should have bought the other 3 when I had the chance. lol). I want 2 more but I'd rather not spend over $100 again for them. I've been looking at the Mayflash one and also the N64 RetroPort at retrousb.com. Anyone have experience with both and can tell me the pros and cons of each?

Thanks but I already knew about that site. That's how I found out about the N64 retroport.

I have a couple of adapters that run both a psx pad and an n64 pad flawlessly at the same time, and i just flick between them with a switch on the side of the adapter. I'll have a look at the name tomorrow... In bed now!

Ok. Thanks. I've heard that the psx/n64 adapters aren't that great though. I think they were talking about how the analog joystick felt compared to the real thing though. I'd like to hear your experience with it if it's the same kind that I've read about.

Are these ones here so terrible? A quick search for N64 USB adapter on ebay brings up a ton of these. I've never used them before though so I don't really know.

Yeah, I'm trying to figure that out myself. I'd like to know about the one you posted and this one here. http://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=82 The only one I've ever had was the adaptoid which works excellent for me. Too bad they don't make them anymore and I had to spend $125 on Ebay just to buy another one.

i got mine in the mail some time ago and using a retail n64 controller im having alot of problems with the joystick it almost seems like when i push the joystick all the way left it doesnt go far enough so i cant turn sharply stuff like that i dont know if its a problem on my end but thats my experience with them
I have a couple of the N64/Gamecube controller to USB adapters (http://www.raphnet.net/electronique/gc_n64_usb/index_en.php) from Raphnet.net. These actually work pretty well. I use a lot of the DIY chips from Raphnet.net, but he also sells pre-made adapters as well.

I have one of those and it works perfectly. I'm running windows 7 32 bit. However, to get the joystick calibrated perfectly you have to go into the controller calibration wizard in Windows. If you go to Start and search for "Game Controller" then it should be the first option that pops up. I think you can get to it somewhere in the control panel but I can't seem to find it right now.
Anyway, once I did that my joystick worked perfectly. I had the same problem where the joystick didn't seem to turn sharply enough.
