Yes...please tell us where you downloaded it from. I have noticed that others are starting to distribute HS on torrent sites bundled with the latest version of MAME (apparently modified).

Also, please only one post per topic. I deleted your other one and kept this one in support.

Your full of it dude... Download the HS program from here... I can guarantee there is no Virii in it.

Its your site you downloaded it from... Bug them... And think twice where you get your warez

or it could be your pc is already infected and infecting files you download, just a possibility.

Yep I'd be careful where you download HS from, if you dont get it from an official spot like our download area or our torrent then we can make any promises on who hacked what.

I just did a completely fresh install of HyperSpin along with every theme that has been approved thus far. I downloaded from our Downloads section and neither Windows Defender nor Avira AntiVir picked up anything.

Seriously - where are you downloading your torrents? hehe Plus it sounds like you've got a virus checker installed or something.... which is far worse than 99% of all viruses. Heck this could just be yet another false positive.

The best virus protection is your brain. Only download exe/bat/com/etc files from sites you can trust. (private torrent sites are usually pretty good) Movies and images are ok - just look out for files named midgetporn.jpg.bat

Oh, and stop going to all those porn, crack, and warez internet sites... and learn to click *NO* when stuff asks permission to run.

All these things will prevent you from getting viruses. A virus checker won't. Any decent virus can get passed it anyways and considering how much a checker slows down your system I'd almost rather have the virus - your system will run faster with a virus than it will with a virus scanner installed!

Actually, I disagree... I personally have never had a virus, I did have adware once, but other than that nothing. I also have never run a virus scanner in the past until I built my new machine. I've always been extremely cautious as to where I downloaded from and thankfully it's never come back to bite me in the ass. With my new machine I am keeping things more organized and have decided to start using a virus scanner even though I doubt that I'll ever really need it. Having it running during normal computer operating times could be quite beneficial. I am using Avira; which is the highest rated free scanner and I have not had a single issue or slowdown with it.

uh I am so glad to run osx as my main os. Its of course not immune to viruses and such but so far none are out there and I don't have to worry about it really. I wish there was a good media center(tv portion front row is nice for everything else) and emulators for everything(I don't think there is a good one for n64 for one) or I would run osx and linux on all my boxes. I never really ran any when I was on windows either but I think for your regular everyday user its a good idea on windows.

I've tested every theme and have scanned each and every file. Not a single file has been found with anything like this. Perhaps your system was infected by something else, but I can say that it is not HyperSpin. You are the only one that has been effected and not a single other person has said anything. I've been running HS that was downloaded from here on both my main computer and my cabinet and have never seen any strange processes running or any strange activity.

I`ve noticed a massive change recently on a number of torrent sites. The influx of infected files has risen hugely in the past 4 months. Most recently is the xvod extension to video files (pay for download of codec and its a virus). Common sense really can prevent alot of infections. Always get your files from `reliable` sources and i mean `reliable` not some freebie site (i could name some but wont). As for Hyperspin - 100% virus free and anyone downloading it should only do so from here. Play with fire, your gonna get burned
