Needed more than it appeared all new graphics, last day I got a filesystem error, monitor was probably in need of a cap kit. Even though it was a good game it wasn't great. If anyone wants the boards let me know. I would also like to find the graphics for the side to kind of commemorate it's origin.
Thanks for looking

Just a warning I wouldn't post this 'maming' on an Arcade Restoration/Preservation board like BYOAC, if you do make sure to wear flame retardant clothing and earplugs.
As for the Cab, i'm glad you're happy with it but I just really wished you would've either built your own or mame'd a generic cab. I hate to see a restore-able cab mame'd, makes me sad :bawling:
Good luck with your Cabinet anyhow!

Wow really....What about the people who "destroy" xmen vs. Street fighter cabs or defender cabs. Do they get the same remarks? Also to your statement "mamed a generic cab." What's is a generic cab? Is mace the dark age some rare piece that I didn't know about? As far as I'm concerned I took a piece of coal and turned it into a diamond. By that I mean something that just sat in some guys garage now gets played by my family and I on a daily basis and brings much joy to my small children what more can you ask for. Just my opinion... What does everyone else think.

Yep ;)
I don't think he was attacking you btw...just warning you about BYOAC posting.
The older the cabinet the more dear it is to most of the collector's "hearts". With scratch builds being not much more in terms of difficulty it doesn't make much sense to destroy/convert old cabs anyways.
Either way your cab! :)

I really liked the original artwork on this cab but if it was beyond repair then fair enough. Plus I'm inclined to agree that for a game like Mace, it's better that the cab gets some use than just sits getting damp in some dude's garage. However, if it had been one of the 80's classics in good condition, I could see why you might come in for some flak. Hope you have fun with it!

Really?
Getting flamed like this on hyperspin board is kinda retarded tho.
This whole setup is designed to use emulators and roms.
So a "collectors" rant should fall on deaf ears here, but a good warning if he would try and post this on a restoration thread somewhere else.
So question i can across a blast city cabinet? It would be "wrong" of me to throw hyperspin in it? Default everything just says blast city no dedicated game.
Like I said...imo it's your cabinet so there is really no right or wrong...do what you feel is right.
Me personally, I prefer scratch builds, but again, that is just me :)

mace is a crappy game in a midway cabinet. those arent hard 2 find. if it had been an 80's classic i could understand even making that statement in the first place. he did what he wanted 2 do 2 his cabinet. on top of that he didnt destroy any classic cab or gut a game that is a classic. if anyone anywhere has an issue with that then they need 2 get over themselves.

You would be surprised what some collectors consider "dear" but I personally agree with you...and like I have said twice...it's his cab and really no one elses business.

I appreciate the support. I just found it funny that people could convert an Altered Beast cab *not trying to bring baron into this just using my opinion of a classic cab as an example* and hear absolutely nothing.Either was just needed a bit of a vent and some other peoples 2 cent. Thanks again for the support and if anyone needs any help feel free to ask.

glad i could help. Are you considering doing a 4 player for your sf cab?

I think 4 player would be too big, I am slightly considering a 3 player cab though.
