First off, This is probably my first post so I just gotta say I love Hyperspin and all the hard work everyone constantly puts into it. It really shows in it's utility, appearance and overall wow factor!
Now, on to the requests, when I was setting up my controls for the first time, I was under the impression that the hyperspin button would randomly select a game in the same method that the attract feature works. Kinda like in defender when you hit hyperspace! So I kept trying it and trying it and I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working or what the button actually did until I just read this on the doc page here:
"HyperSpin - When holding this key down the wheel will spin faster when navigating."
I've always liked the random button in other FE's I've used and it just seems really cool to tell people that the yellow button is HYPERSPIN and it will make the wheel go nuts and pick a random game. Is there anyway you could make this happen?
Thanks for reading

That could totally be a setting that could be checked or unchecked. I like it!

Yeah, if it loaded the rom you'd be more likely to actually Play the game, and maybe discover a cool game you never tried.

That's the way it works in StepMania/DDR- there's random and roulette. Random spins to a random song, but you can move off of it. Roulette forces you to play that song

Wow that sounds really cool!
It would also be cool if it could, in conjunction with,
launching random games, shut them down like Brian_Hoffmans
HyperAttract, here:

and Much like the Mame Screensaver, here:
http://tomspeirs.com/mamescreensaver/
...and always go back to HyperSpin where it starts all over again unless there is some player input.
I constantly see interesting games Ive never heard of just watching the screensaver.
On a slightly different note , are there any plans to have a button like this made?
I would buy one!

Maybe another source of income to help with hosting and what not beyond the Gold Membership but I would definitely buy a "Official HS Button" and mount it on my CP.

I have access to 3" oled buttons that you can load animations into
the same ones they use on the new WMS slot machines.
An extreme Quality frontend like this needs an extreme quality button :)

Something like this from Happ, for the non-OLED version.

"3" oled buttons that you can load animations into"
Guys we so need to do somthing like this !!!
I would love to have a h/s button on my cab
but then thinking about it could someone not work out a way to have a full set of buttons and somehow link it to cpwiz.
so lets say you start SF2 then all the buttons show something like L punch the next M punch and so on ??
then swap game to 1941 and have just two buttons light up and have 1 button say fire and the other say roll
hope that makes sense I am not sure how practical it will be cost wize and code wize
but I know that there are a lot of bright ppl here!
what do you think peeps?

The controller to do all that would cost about $1500US
they have flash memory in them but not much enough for say 10 small images in a slideshow or a swf file the resolution it takes is 300 x 300 from memory I'm going to send bill the details they are hard to get unless your in the industry
the price is about $50 per button
Edit: I Just found out that ruff price is for the TFT version there is a long wait on oled buttons due to no stock and plenty of backorders. they will also be double the price. i will take more care of the ones i use sometimes at work now i know that :)
i'm waiting for them to send me there new range of buttons including something about a usb developers kit i will keep you guys posted when i get more info. here is a pic i found showing you guys what i mean.

BBB i can get you in contact direct with the chinese once i get the details this may be a great way for you to raise funds for HS. there will be a minimum order but you can try and get 5-20 as a sample.
I love the idea of this random button, I know it would be great to have this feature in HP ;)

That would be cool, I would like to see about getting some kind of wholesale deal on them, if theres a usb dev kit, then I could have an incentive to see what greater possiblities are with the buttons.
