Is there a FAQ on installing new themes to HP? I downloaded the Metal Slug 3 theme and put the files into the correct dirs. What must I do know to get it to work, add it to the mame.xml? If so, how do I know what information to add?

Has anyone created "complete" xml files yet? Even though there may not be a theme for a game I am looking to play yet, it would be nice to still be able to play that game from with in HP using some sort of generic theme.

Did some looking and will use this info for now.

Looks like it could use a little updating though...

But more or less what I was saying is as it is now with this.

If I don't have them theme it just says "no image". It would be nice to have a mame.xml file with all the games added so I could atleast select to play them even though the theme would have not been created yet. Honestly and this is just my opinion, the best thing to do with this would be to create wheel image sets first and then the themes cause then you could atleast select the game. Who knows... Maybe I am missing somethere here too. =]

I'm in the same boat, I put all the contents in proper folders to add a new theme but I don't know how to create the xml or anything else that might be needed and HQ I just don't see how to use it to update or create a list the only thing it appears I can do is check a game to delete.

Gak!!! I now have 298 Mame themes installed, but a look at my themes folder shows 300 xml's. That means there are 2 entries missing from the mame.xml file. Looked through my mame.xml and can't find anything obvious missing. Dang it this sucks. Jeez, I'll just have to check them one at a time...
