Sega Master System Theme Fest

I just finished converting and uploading 14 themes to the sega master system. I hope you enjoy them.

Edit: I forgot to add that to get the SMS videos there are 2 methods. The one I used... which is to download the Sega Master System avi files from the torrent here:

Then convert them to FLV files with a wonderful program called mediacoder which you can find for free.

For those of you with emumovies ftp access I'm currently uploading the movies to the Hyperspin directory. (Only the movies I'm using/have converted and made themes for.) So you should be able to download the flv versions directly from there in a few minutes once I finish uploading.

Great work getting those renamed and functioning. This is a good way to get themes set up for home consoles. In the future we may want to look into maybe zipping them all into a few large zips or something. I gasped when I checked my notifications and there were like 30 themes awaiting approval!

Im confused... when did mortal kombat series come out for the master system? I thought they came out for Genesis?

Why does nobody believe me? hehe I know it's hard to imagine these games coming out for the Sega Master System but I assure you they did. They're extremely crappy ports though and I don't really recommend playing them but they exist I swear.

I saw how bad those SMS videos looked in the themes, never fear a new release all cropped edited and fixed is almost done, worked on it all night 75% of the way there. As well as high res box art, cart scans and manuals.

I think the SMS games were ported from the Game Gear version. The SMS/Game Gear were almost identical.

I had a copy of MKII on the master system, when it was first released.......... and yes as far as MK games go, it was a pretty bad version (slow, glitchy and with plenty of flicker), but the thing is when you have a sms (and love gaming on it) because you couldn't afford the megadrive (genesis) at the time and all your mates are playing MK on their consoles and not forgetting in the arcades, it was pretty cool!
The games were deff a little too much for the sms to handle, but if you didn't compare it to higher specked versions, the sms had never seen a fighting game like it!
worth a look, for curiosity if nothing else.....

Ok all but 20 videos for SMS have been uploaded to the ftp, I have also included a dat file to make sure your roms match the set. And takes out unneeded games.
