I've been trying to get SNES working through connecting zsnesw.exe to hyperspin.
Initially the problem was that the database did not reflect the names for the rom files;
For example The database looks for 'Megaman X3 (USA).zip'
The rom on the majority of locations it's listed on is almost always listed as 'Megaman X3 (U) [!].zip' or .smc
With the database updated to correct for this I tried again. This time paying closer attention to the message. It stated that it could not launch the game with 'any extension provided' I think to myself that it might just be looking for zips, and some of my roms are unzipped. so to be safe I add this in the extensions field for the emulator in HQ;
'zip, smc, 7z'
I launch HS, go to the SNES section, try again, same error. So I go into my roms folder, and verify on 10 roms for testing purposes, that their listed names in the folder are exactly, letter for letter, space for space, the same as those listed in the database.
I then verify that all possible extensions are covered. all of my roms are in zip, 7z, and smc formats, no other formats or compression methods are present. the games I tested were already in .smc format.
I tested both in 'normal' launch mode, and 'hyperlaunch' mode. normal mode will open the emulator itself which will have it's load menu open, but it will not have launched the game. Hyperlaunch mode will produce the error message.
I'm still looking through the documentation section for emulator set ups.
The only thing I can think of is, maybe I seperated the extensions wrong? some programs use ext, ext, ext or ext; ext; ext; really depends on the app.
If the information is clearly in HS, I can't see it. I've got it connected to an old tv because it's in a cabinet. I can barely read what HQ has written in it (my fault obviously on that one)
ANyone else have trouble with this emulator?
SO far I just have MAME working, which is working without flaw.
