My first shot at trying to contribute to the theme section.
Guwange: one of my favourite shmups!
Getting some descent artwork was a pain in the ass, also since there is no english title, i improvised one for the wheelimage + title in the screen.
tell me what you think, dont hasitate to tell me when it sucks, but please tell me what should be improved :)

looks good to me.. maybe make the dude on the right a bit bigger to cover more wheel

Some really rare and high-res artwork for Guwange - could help incorporate some of the terrific character designs.
I really like how you integrated the Japanese logo. I'm not totally sure about the font used for the English logo, though - maybe a font more 'Asian-themed', considering how deeply rooted the game is in mythology.
This theme would look really neat with falling leaves!

about the english font: i agree its not really what it should be, will look at some other ' asian' typed fonts.
about the falling leaves, i think that might be above my expertise but would be really neat indeed!

The falling leaves would be easy. Just get a PNG of the leaves you want and put them Artwork3 or 4 and give them the "Rain Float" animation.
Whipped up this title real fast because I remembered having this font.

another update.. pretty much removed all the old ideas since the artwork links were all of much better quality!
Not really sure yet if i should move or remove the chinese logo on the right, and replace the english logo on the bottom. Problem is i like the high quality background too much to cover it with pics everywhere.
also added some pink petals, which looks really nice IMO. Too bad the screeny doesnt give credit to it.
A+ on the font, no question. I'm really looking forward to seeing this one in motion.
This theme is definitely coming together nicely, and that background art is gorgeous. I like the idea of incorporating the original logo, but it just seems oddly placed as the theme stands now - kind of breaks up the theme's look, imo.

defenitally agree. although i really like the background and the petalrain, theres something not right yet with the placing and look of the chinese and english logo.
gonna take another look at it tomorrow and see what could be improved. i find it so hard to place the name's since all the ' good' places are the ones which ruin the background...

The logo once it HyperSpin will be covered up by all the free play and joy controls, I definitely wouldnt put it there. But awesome thieme and thanks for the contribution.

I am pretty happy about it all now.
Moved the title back to the top, but added a new layer so that the background character are still on top.
Merged the japanese title with the english title, made the title have a small pulse also. Together with the falling leaves it looks pretty neat imo.
Off course alterations/comments are allways still welcome!
Wow, some terrific edits! Really smooth looking, and the artwork was really well showcased. Can't wait to see it with the falling sakuras.
