ive noticed people talking about Hyperlaunch, what exactly is this?

A script to make launchimg emulator more seemless in hyperspin. Eg it hides the mouse for emus that dont support that "no one like seeing the mouse cursor in the middle of the screen while playing a game" It also does thing like make ESC kill the running process for emus where ESC doesnt actually close the emulator.

It also allows for multiple key exit combos and other fun stuff.

Any ETA on when this will actually be ready? I remember reading that it was pretty much ready to go 2 weeks ago

HyeprLaunch also supports relative paths for those that want to run from a portable hard drive or something. This was a feature request.

its going to be great to see Hyperspin run on a portable HD. I just wonder if a 500GB HD is going to be big enough to hold all the emulators and games.

I hope so, a 500gb HD is what I just bought for my arcade cab!!!
