well, what I would do is open up your rom folder- check the extension on your roms.

then open up hyperHQ and make sure that you have the correct rom extension listed there.

the extension is right in the hq. a nintendo rom on my list looks like this
720 degrees

in properties the file name is 720 degrees.zip

it opens with winrar archiever read only and hidden are both unchecked what else do you need to know outside of hyperspin these games work fine what do i have to do to get these games to work with hyperspin is it the emulator i tried both nestopia and nesten im about ready to throw in the towel and do a mame only machine please help thaks

Sounds like your files are using the wrong naming convention. Example the xml list included in Hyperspin is looking for 720 degrees to be named 720 degrees (USA).zip. If this is the problem, instead of renaming all the roms you can use HyperROM2XML Ex Plus from http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6734 to make an xml of your roms and replace the one in Hyperspin for the system you need changed.

the games still will not play on thier own the emulator pops up and i have to go file open from there and find the game i originally chose and click on it from there which defeats the purpose of hyperspin

Please post the info from your log.txt file located in the HyperSpin directory.

Also, what emulator are you trying to use?

Yeah, there is no extension for your rom according to the log file. Also, we highly suggest using Nestopia as the NES emulator.

In the wheel settings menu for your emulator, where you setup the emulator and path, there is a place to put the extension. You have to have the right extension for your roms for it to work.

Just so you know every windows file has an extension. like hyperspin.exe is an executable and mario.zip could be compressed game rom. However if you have extensions hidden by default you only see mario thats it you do not see the .zip

I am not sure which windows you use but go to my computer or just computer. when it comes up press ALT on the keyboard then click on tools with the mouse or arrow keys and select folder options

in folder options go to the view tab and you see a checkbox for hide extension known file types. make sure this is unchecked. and hit apply.

Now browse to your nes roms folder and tell us what do you all your roms files say? mario.zip? mario.nes? once you know this. you can tell hyperhq the correct extension to look for.

Also, make sure you set HyperLaunch to enabled/true for NES.

the rom folder says .zip if i open it it say .nes i tried both in the extension folder and it didnt work

Did you do what Dazz said and make sure hyperlaunch was checked in hyperhq? Also looks like your using nestopia now have you tried running an nes game in the emulator first to see if i worked?

Also you don't need to add more than one extension as long as all your roms are just one extension. Did you browse to C:\Users\kari and jason\Desktop\arcade stuff\roms\ and verify all your nes roms are in that folder and have .zip extension?
