actually it was Snes9x not bsnes... bsnes recognized button presses but not x, y axis
yea snes9x is the only one that works in windows with guns. I just use mame, nestopia, and snes9x.
What games you use on psx with guns?

A good site for Light Gun games is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_light_gun_games
Not 100% complete or accuate.. but still a great resource
Very nice, thanks. If you can keep that list updated with fully working games, I would appreciate it.

found that SSF works with mouse option... but its not a true light gun controller... But it does work for Virtua Cop.. down side is.. if you click/shoot the upper portion of the screen it closes out the emu like model 2 emu
Yea you can't have any awkward control issues. It ultimately ruins the experience.

been busy painting and installing aimtracks in the Sega Stunner gun... Very happy with the out come and recommend it to all that want a gun without extra buttons and dpad on it.
The Sega Stunner is a 2 button gun with a Trigger and a "Start" button on the front left side.
2 Buttons is a perfect clean setup. I'll post pics when done, i didnt take any durring the install but i'll take final pics
Also.. I'll recommend doing the "trigger" mod... better trigger response. http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3406 (dont install screw.. i used automotive tar strip on the back with a foam tape on the top cover to "sandwich" it)

yep! i'm new here, i'm from castello, spain so my english is'nt so good.
i have a home-made arcade machine with two lightguns and have been testing and searching for emus wich support them, but some of them can disable the crosshair, wich in my opinion is a mess for a lightgun game.
those are the emus i use nowadays:
snes 9x. can hide crosshair
nestopia. many games are so difficult. some impossible, like "to he earth"
psx. its a mess not to be able to play two players and justifier games
megadrive-mcd: i didnt found any. i it to wanted to play snatcher
mess: supports many systems but i only have my guns working in sms(all the games perfect, like mame), and some of nes. mdrive i think guns are not supported, and snes seems to have problems with the tigger button.

i forgot older systems:
action max daphne. seems to be thoutght to support lightgun, but works on relative? mode
atari 800win. works but you have to configure the mouse sensivility to adjust to your gun one.
vice c64. works pretty well
msx: redmsx and blue msx are supposed to support them but i wasn't able to get it work.
emuzwin (spectrum) works ok but i cant disable the crosshair

ey cable, thanks you got reason, but i havnt such powerful pc in the cab.
i have seen it has a big cross that shows your aiming. do yo know is possible to hide it?
psd. lightguns works well in bluemsx 1.62 but not in newer versions
there is a version of duck hunt, gunstic games(spanish lightgun of the late 80's), and one rare and intersting: dungeon hunter, which woks with ascii lasergun, and where you can shoot and move at the same time.
gunstick also works in redmsx but not as well, i use it to play the games in .cas, that dont work for me in bluemsx
both of these emus put your second windows mouse pointer as a crosshair, which you can chage for a transparent one, but have the same problem: if aiming at the top of the screen, the toolbar appears.

Side question: Do the Aimtrak Guns work on Plasma/LCD or is it just for tube TVs? Last time I researched shooters on Plasma/LCDs you needed to buy sensors for the perimiter of the TV.

Since I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, certain Sega Model 2 games work with my actlabs guns.

I use Aimtrak with MAME, Demul and Model 2 emulators. As far as I can tell, only MAME supports multiple lightguns. In the other emulators all guns seem to control the same cursor. I'd be curious if anyone knows of a work-around or other emulators that support 2 guns at the same time.

MESS supports lightgun for the sms, and there is a game, I think it's called gagster that supports dual lightguns
mess also seems to have gun support for the nes and snes, but it doesn't work properly in most of the games
