What version of Mame is the database on the FTP from?

Hey all! I have the Mame Database from the FTP but I'm not sure what version it is from. Does anyone know? Thanks!

Not sure of what's on the FTP, but HyperList has MAME .137 available

Genre's aren't set for ALL games, but we're working to have them set as fast as we can. :)

Thanks a lot Lashek, never clicked the Hyperlist button here LOL...That was very helpful! Do you know if the genres which are available are complete or are they uploaded while in development? Also, is there a way to download all the genres at once?

The genre's that are available are constantly being updated. When you run them, it pulls whatever the most recent games are for that genre based upon how we flagged them. Due to being a web-tool, there is no uploading from us, it's all edited right on the site. :)


Also, is there a way to download all the genres at once?

That has been a popular request as of late and currently, there is no way to do this. It is planned to be included in a future update (not the update coming next Sunday the 18th).

That last Genre list released is what was done for MAME with the release of 1.0 =)

OK, I get it, thanks for all the work you are putting into it Lashek. I'm just getting used to 1.0 and revamping Mame to be more intuitive within Hyperspin. :tee:
