How do I get the two to work together?
I've made a wheel for a few of the systems that MESS emulates (namely adventure vision and vectrex), but I can't seem to get it to work. MESS works fine by itself.
I keep on getting an error message saying that the system and/or MESS is unsupported.
Can anyone help me with this problem?

have you checked out the mess-atari 5200 tutorial in the docs section?

yes, I have. I did get the Atari 5200 to work using the docs, but i'm still having troubles with other systems that the MESS emulates.
I have made a new wheel for both the Adventure Vision and Vectrex, set the paths correctly, but I still get an error message for both (saying that the system may be unsupported which can't be right since it runs the atari fine)
any idea why the atari will work and the adv. vis. and vectrex wont?

I forgot to say. it says the system (adventure vision) or mess.exe is not supported.
will I have to change my ahk file?

Atari 5200 is officially supported so thats why it was pretty painless to set up.
Your getting the "not supported" message because either you didnt:
-add the scripts to Hyperlaunch
-compile Hyperlaunch, after adding the scripts.
-add the systems (another step) with HyperHq and create settings for them.
Be sure to read up, in the "Docs" section, so you know how to compile and add systems to the wheel first.
Vectrex and Adventure Vision are both un-official and just a little harder to set-up (not too much).
Setting Up, Un-Official Systems with HyperSpin (http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5686)
for Vectrex you could go here: GCE Vectrex (http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showpost.php?p=53047&postcount=65)
There may be other scripts and set-ups around here for Vectrex as well.
The ahk scripts and setups are basically the same as the Atari 5200 (if\when using Mess). You'll see the differences when you see the GCE Vectrex (http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showpost.php?p=53047&postcount=65) post.
for Adventure Vision,
I havent seen anything for it but just as the Atari 5200 and Vectrex setups are similar, the Atari 5200 and Adventure Vision should also be basically the same (if using Mess).
with just a few minor tweaks (name changes mostly) here and there.

Thank you so much for your help :3
I got the vectrex to work! now all I have to do is get the other emus to work too.
I was looking through this post because i couldn't get MESS to run in hyperspin. I read chillinwater's reply so I checked out the hyperlaunch script--that came with the download of hyperspin's new release--and for some reason the .exe file extension for MESS wasn't there. I looked at the script before I read this post but overlooked this simple fix. Hope this helps someone else
