Is there any chance HyperSpin could be open sourced some day? If it was, I would be willing to work on an OS X port in my spare time and it would open it up for other devs to port to other platforms as well.
Anyway, it's a great piece of software, keep up the good work!
hyperspin is just front end, you have to port future pinball and visual pinball also
VP is some kind of open source for non comercial use, you can get the source, but there are no ports to other os-es

HS uses windows dependent packages (read: directdraw) and APIs so it's not technically feasible

It uses several expensive plugins that were required for different things within HyperSpin. Even if it was open source you would have to spring for the $$$ plugins.

I see. That does indeed seem like it would make it pretty impossible to ever port to another platform. Oh well.
I'd still be willing to contribute in some way if there's any need for developers.

what is needed is some cross platform utilities. A Mac version of HyperList would be great, since I only have an HTPC with HS running on it, and a Mac laptop, I do everything remotely from the Mac over SMB shares. But if I wanna run an app to do it, I have to RDP- which means no one else can use the computer.
