How do I mage the genre labels not appear as often?

I know someone asked this question before, but I can't find the thread. How do I make the labels in mame not appear as often? It keeps saying "all games" or whatever the label is for the genre i'm viewing too often, i'd rather just see it the first time and that's it.

Turn off "Special Art C" in HyperHQ. This disables that message.

While this topic is up, might I ask how to disable the "Press Start" text flashing at the bottom screen in HS? Can it be replaced?

I believe the "Press Start" text is Special Art B.

It can easily be changed.

For me, it's located at:
C:\hyperspin\Media\Main Menu\Images\Special\SpecialB1.swf (Press Start)

and alternates with

C:\hyperspin\Media\Main Menu\Images\Special\SpecialB2.swf (Free Play)


This is what you'll want to modify to change it, or you can turn off Special Art B in HyperHQ to disable it. :)

You can set the delay for the special art in the HQ settings. If you want more info check out the special art tutorial and vid in the docs.
