I have seen where people are using NES, N64, Sega.... etc contol pads on the computer with HS and was wondering if somthing like this is out there for the PC that I can "plug and play". This one is for Wii, maybe hack it, or is there a better answer. http://cgi.ebay.com/4-1-SNES-NES-GENESIS-N64-WII-CONTROLLER-ADAPTER-/400119557408?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Video_Games_Accessories&hash=item5d28fbed20

My idea is to be able to plug the ORGINAL game pads into a hub like this and play, also would want PS2 and maybe a few others. My orginal idea was to have the actual orginal plug in spots for player one and two accros the front of my cp, have 4 to 6 options for each player depending on the controler to be used. I am sure that others have done different tricks to achive this, just need some direction I guess. Thanks

I'm actually planning something like this for my cabinet as we speak. I call it the RetroPort, which is really just a thin piece of solid metal that has all the various ports from controller plugins on it to plug all system controllers into.

I was thinking about using the adaptors at http://retrousb.com/ and fixing them up to be secure to my "panel" of classic controllers, all pre-hooked up and pre-configured so it's simply a matter of plugging in depending on the console you are playing and being good to go.

I have all original controllers for systems and have been looking into making a port like this. I have several of the retrousb adapters, they work great. I just need to find a good way to be able to keep them all hooked up so the USB devices don't change ID's and screw up button mapping.

I too have all the orginal pads and only want to mess with 2 players, been to retro zone and it is great, but $20+ each times 6, 8 , or even 10 pads adds up in a hurry!! I can feel this new project is going to turn out like the house we built, I gave my wife an unlimited budget for the house and she went over it, seems this could happen with the new MAME/Hyper Spin project.

Does anyone have a less costly way to buy or make these ports? I have TONS of old parts for the old systems, I can come up with the hardware for the plug in parts, the control pads etc. but have NO IDEA how to put them together.
