Updated full torrent download with current themes??

Is it possible to get an updated full torrent available that includes the newest version of Hyperspin and all current themes? Without the ability to add themes without manually editing the xml yet, it would be great to get an updated version available via torrent to keep the rest of us up-to-date that don't want to constantly update/change the xml file to add new themes and want an "easy" way to see the new themes.

We are working on it, should be out in the next week or so.

Sweet. Maybe in the future we can release weekly or monthly update torrents, kind of like [Please no posts about rom sites], billpa. Just a thought. Now that Hyperspin works for me, I'm all ready to get this going! :)

So, this thing was added to HyperSpin that allows you to have a full game database XML. Simply add the following to your (system name).xml in your settings folder.

[themes]
themes_only = true

All you need to do is simply download the themes you want and extract them into the correct folder. HyperSpin will now only display games that have a theme.

i try to make this change on settings folder but i don't have *.Xml , just *.ini

i try on settings, main menu or mame.ini
nothings changed

but you do need to get a full xml, you can run HS in an empty folder to install it and you can pull the included full mame.xml out of the databases/mame/mame.xml

So what is Hyper Spin theme count with user submitted theme's for MAME up to 350 ? can we get a new torrent which includes all the current themes up to date?? In addition to just the flv's for those themes instead of downloading the 18 gig file from emumovies it would be probably 2 gigs etc

i had this same problem.
zupapa.xml was my last theme too.
i renamed zupapa.xml to zupapa.xml.bak and no longer got a blank screen for themes only.

Where is the "Correct Folder" anyway? I need to know I'm a n00b at this. :laugh: if someone can help, thanks. :banghead: it is flippin' hard to figure out!

When you extract a theme, just go into your media folder for the system you want and unzip the theme, simple as that, not sure why thats hard.

Even just unzipping a theme to your desktop will show you how the folders are layed out.
