Here's a crack at my first theme, Super World Stadium '99 (sws99). I love this game and hope someone can get some use out of this theme. I'm still trying to figure out how to add the flv video but that's in another thread. So... here it is in order:

Title grows to center then shrinks

Player pops up on lf side of screen

Baeball sound wav file plays a ball being hit off a bat

Ball arc grows from lf to rt across screen (repeatedly)

Namco eases from lf to rt then centers under title

I'm planning on putting the flv video on the rt side of the screen covering some of the wheel.

What do you think?

Added Preview Video and made some other minor changes. Background is a little too transparent so I'll make the change soon.

Otherwise not bad, the logo seems a bit large, and not sure about the background.

I originally posted in the graphics thread cause I thought you had to post in the theme announcement thread only if the theme was completed. I still have some work to do on it but hopefully it will be done soon.

No worries :) I did not know this thread was originally in Graphics and not Theme Announcements. You can post a Theme Announcement before it is completed. Its done all the time so people can get feedback and make changes, etc.

Well, here's my final version of the theme. Tested it out with video and all is well on my end. The background image is taken from in-game menu screen where you can choose your team(s). Title & wheel image is from game and so is the baseball player. Audio was never added but may be available at a later date. Let me know when this theme approves. I'm sure not many of you will download this theme but it's my favorite Mame baseball game so at least I'm happy :)

I don't like the background. how about if you try creating an image of the baseball field in Illustrator or photoshop? the image of the caracter looks very low resolution.

How would I fix the resolution of the character? Also, I wanted to use as much original artwork/game material as I could and there's not much artwork on sws series so what image do you suggest for the field? I tried playing around prior to this background image with a generic baseball field but I didn't care for how it looked. Will keep trying and taking suggestions.

i was thinking about a background of a baseball field similar to Baseball Stars, but I am not suggesting you use that exact image. you could may be grab that image and change the colors similar to the ones that your game uses. or create a background from scrath of the baseball field.

you can improve any image to 10 times better on illustrator. you should try that with your character art

Not sure what else I can do for this theme. I don't have the skills others are talking about so I guess It'll go in my cabinet as is and it will go in the junk pile here. No biggie. I like how it looks :)

You should upload it. This forum is for suggestions....ultimately it is the theme creator who decides when it is done and what changes will be made to the theme.
