Noob MAME Question

Hi all, i'm having trouble trying to get MAME to log my high scores. I'm using MAMExt 0.138 and I have checked the high score support in the global settings but whenever i get a high score in my games (ive tried donkey kong, 1943 and bells & whistles) when i exit and re launch the game my scores arn't there. Can anybody help?

Are you running mame with hyperlaunch? if you are my guess would be that mame doesn't quit properly with hyperlaunch and doesn't save settings. Try running mame with hyperlaunch disabled. It's not really needed for mame anyway.

Thanks Volumetric but im not using HL to launch mame and also im having the same problem when running mame outside of HS im totally lost lol any other ideas?

check and see if your paths are correct, there should be a folder called 'hi' in your mame directory, and in your mame settings you should have a hi score folder selected (same place where you select your rom folder). From memory, even the mame builds that support hi scores dont create the directory by default. Let me know how you go.

PS not sure if i should be helping you man, you guys did just beat us in the T20 world cup final!!! :)

PPS im using mame plus XT, and it seemed to work with very little effort, there may be a difference between mame XT and mame plus XT, as they are separate downloads.
