Anyone else using a real arcade monitor with an ArcadeVGA card?
Just wondering what emu's you are using?
I have Mame and hyperspin working perfect, just wondering what other emus people have working with that card? I cant get any nes emu to run in fullscreen mode with it

Yep... I use mame, snes, nestopia, magic engine, project 64, and kega fusion for Sega Gen, 32x and CD.
I really have yet to find an emu that does not work with my wells gardner/Vga card.

Do you know if nulldc DC emulator is working fine with the PCI-Express AVGA ?
In 480p, in 600p ?

Have you tried FCE ultra or Virtua NES ?
I managed to get a 256x224 native res with both.
There's also a modified ZSNES that is compatible with the AVGA resolutions, but can't find it.

Evil,
The modified Zsnes found on this page works with ArcadeVGA and standard rez arcade monitors. It's also probably the best collection of altered emulators (altered to be cab friendly / more MAME-like) that you will find out there:

What version of mame are you running?
I'm having problems with screen tearing and if I turn on tripplebuffer (which works perfectly outside of hyperspin) i'm getting key input lag issues

cathaldub,
Please try again with the tripplebuffer option and then check your log.txt file and post the command line from the log. I suspect that something goofy is being passed in on the command line when you run mame.

I've got it working, not sure how but its working.
Now my only problem is trying to get to see the top and bottom of vertical games

Are you running on an LCD monitor by any chance?

And the top and bottom of your vertical games are all squished, as if they are folded over on themselves, right? Or are they cleanly cut-off? Real arcade monitors are tough to set up, no doubt about it. You can't just throw any resolution at them like a computer monitor. Does MAME still have that feature where you hit a key, I think it might have been the ',' comma, and MAME will pick the next-best-guess resolution for whatever game you are playing? I think you need to tweak your rez settings for these vertical games.
The Monitor section of the BYOAC Wiki, or for that matter, the Monitor Forum on BYOAC, are your best resources by far.

Cool, just turned on hw stretch for each vertical game with the problem and everything is all sorted, still cant get a perfect res for frogger though but i'll live with it its just a little flicker on that game only
A note for anyone else doing the same, before I upgraded to Dual Core I'd sound Sync issues turning on HW Stretch
I cant get nestopia working in full screen, it just go's back
I just got my W.G Arcade monitor today and I've just run into the same
problem, except when I go full screen it makes my arcade monitor wig out and go mostly blank. I follow up this thread to find out virtualnes will work, so I get that working all dandy, but then when I goto run through hyperspin it says its not yet a supported emulator.....
is there a way to override this and run the emulator anyways? or is nestopia only option with hyperspin?...can't be right?

you can change which emu is used, you need to edit/compile your ahk in your hyperspin dir. search the forums here on how to change it, there's tons of info on what to do
