Any possibility of a crash course in illustrator? I'm unaware on how to say convert a raster image into a vector with all the colors and whatnot...I'm having a hard time getting the theme I wan to design to work.
This theme has blended colors..a red that fades to a lighter red.
Would someone be able to help?
Thanks,
Ace

Best document I have come accross is 'Frostillicus' vector shape creation tutorial', which you can download from the downloads section of www.arcadecontrols.com. It's been a while since I've gone through it, so I'm not sure it covers gradients, but if you are new to illustrator, I highly suggest starting there.

Yea...the Frostillicus tutorial is the best one out there imo. I want to do a video tutorial on tracing in Illustrator soon. Im just trying to knock out some of the easier ones for Photoshop and Gimp first.
Whatever you do, make sure you dont spend your time watching an auto trace tutorial. Its not worth your time unless you are doing basic black and white vectors. For the best results, its by hand with the pen tool.
