Just found this last night, and it turns out to work extremely well... Daytona USA and Sega Rally run perfectly. Just wanted to see if you guys could add support for this emulator.

This is weird, I just stumbled across this thread as I am about halfway through the Sega Model 2 videos. I started work on them last night, they will be out later on today. I can't believe that I just tried this emulator, it is great!

Which games does the model 2 play, besides daytona and sega rally?

The original arcade version of DOA, Virtua Cop, VF2...a lot of games, actually. Check out System16's Sega arcade hardware page for a fairly comprehensive listing of the games made for it: http://www.system16.com/museum.php?id=1

There were a few revisions of Model 2 (A,B,C) as well.

Is model 2 not incorporated into MAME? Or are these sets part of the Non-MAME sets?

Both, some are in MAME, most are in Non-MAME.

The model 2 emu runs the games 100x better anyway, and does use gpu's to help

Here is a Model 2 game database xml that I cranked out this evening... I did not add all of the supported games as there are many clones. If there were multiple game versions I used the newest version of each rom.

Cause I tried model2 emu yesterday :Daytona and sega rally championship were not working due to 3 missing roms ?

Though, Virtua striker was working.

No some are different, you have to make sure you have the model2 roms....

So this is a new version to replace the old HyperLaunch then?Yes, but please backup your old HyperLaunch before extracting the one you will be using into your HyperSpin folder. I really don't know what I am doing with AutoHotKey scripting and just basically copied the info and edited it for the Model 2 Emulator. From my early tests it works fine... it launches, it removes the mouse cursor, and you can exit by using ESC. I did have it actually close HyperSpin a couple times, but not sure if that was the script doing it or not.

Ive been waiting for this, hard telling if .9 will ever come out. whoever is playing Daytona though is pretty freaking good at it
