My issues with Hyperspin not recognizing my roms was never the case...after several attempts at zinc and with the help of bill, I finally got it to work but the problem arose when I attempted Nintendo and Nintendo64. After Bill helped me out with Nintendo getting that working, It dawned to me what the problem was all along with why this wasn't working with Hyperspin. Of course, we all read that there are certain emulators that will work with Hyperspin but the real issue is that for those who's roms when launching the game say "that it couldn't find it" beating there head over and over again just have to look a little harder and holla, I got it. The naming conventions in both the settings ini file and database file for the system must match in order for this to work otherwise it will always be an issue of finding that rom. If your rom is titled "007-(USA)", it must also have the same naming convention in the database system file (Nintendo64) "007-(USA)". If it doesn't match is why you got that error. Just my 2 cents.

its been covered in the forums before, generally you want your roms named with the no-intro naming. You can use dats from here http://www.no-intro.org/datset.htm and then you can use romcenter or clrmamepro to name your roms correctly.
Also, if you don't want to use the No-Intro you can simply use the dir2xml program that is somewhere here on the site. This program lets you simply place the dir2xml program in your roms directory, double click to execute the program and viola you have a newly created HyperSpin xml file that you can place into your Database directory for that specific system. Doing this you do not have to re-name your roms. BUT, be warned... using this method will keep you from being able to use game themes without renaming them to match the names in your database folder.

Thats what I want to avoid. I need them to match whatever the database says so I have at this time manually inputted erasing my rom file name and replacing it with whatever the database says. If there is another way to keep the theme file names and naming the files with a program, let me know

dude I'm telling you use the no-intro dats and clrmame pro, thats what was used to generate the xml file so if you rename with those dats it'll match up
