Hi All,

I wonderered if this is possible if so how do you do it.

I would like my Main wheel to just include Arcade,Nintendo,Sega e.t.c.
Then for example when selecting arcade I have the option of selecting MAME Joystick Games, MAME Spinner Games, MAME lightgun games, Model 2 e.t.c. Like this:-

Arcade
|_MAME (Joystick)
|_MAME (Spinner)
|_MAME (Lightgun)
|_Model 2
|_Sega Naomi e.t.c.

Sega
|_Master System
|_Megadrive
|_Saturn e.t.c.

The reason I wish to do this is for one to further trim down the options to the user (i.e. my friends). For example any game that uses a joystick but runs better in Zinc over MAME would be removed from the list so the user cant select a badly emulated version of a game.

I have had a cab for a couple of years now and have recently come to Hyperspin after using GameEx. This was a problem that seemed to crop up quite regularly.

So basically I would like to group some wheels together and also remove the as much non-working stuff as possible. I now how I am going to do the latter but I am unsure as to how to group wheels.

Waffle finished.

The only way to do this at this moment:

> Have a main menu with Arcade,Sega, Nintendo, etc.
> The separate systems in the Genre menu

So the wheel Arcade should contain all these separate systems. The 'genre's' xml's should point to the correct system for each game individually. As goes for Sega, Nintendo, etc.
You'll still have to have each of the systems set up properly in HS, just remove them from the main menu database.

Hi THK,

Thanks for your response but I am not sure I follow. I have just tried various things with the genre.xml e.g. adding another system to it but that didn't work.

Do you mean that you create one combined .xml for all arcade games and then it will know which emulator to launch it with as it will be setup in the .xml file.

Or have I competely lost the plot.

Any help would be great.
