Hello, I would really like to help out on this project. Is there a definitive list of what still needs to be made?

English:
Hello, my name is Mark, I live in Spain and I have difficulty understanding English and writing, I use translators to communicate and that could make things worse, but I am ready to work even if these social boundaries.
Long ago I started a draft of the NES wheels and recently finished another project for the GBA, including box designs in 3D, if you're willing to work together I have no problem to help the community, perhaps more could get people who helped me on my previous project.
The only problem is that to achieve the logos of the games use macromedia freehand and cut out the cover, we have extensive knowledge of Photoshop, and logos of the GBA's on this forum, far outweigh what we've done in my project I can show you a couple of examples and decide if they are valid at your discretion.
Thank you.
Gracias.

The playstation wheel should be the next wheel contest. I have no skill at photoshop but would be willing to contribute to a prize of some sort for a complete set.

I have no skill at photoshop but would be willing to contribute to a prize of some sort for a complete set.I honestly don't think the Playstation wheel is that important compared to some of the others. There are much more prominent systems that need wheel art first before Playstation. I do not see us having a contest for Playstation wheel images, but if we do its going to be much further down the list.

Dazz, Just a curious question and not a knock at your Hyperspin mastery, as you are the master, but what other systems are in desperate need of wheel art? Most of my system is complete, minus GBA, which is being currently finished, and PSX. Maybe I am missing something or some key system. I would be willing to help where ever I can for which ever system is deemed to be the best for the good of Hyperspin. But, in my opinion PSX has so many games and it has to be one of the largest databases out there that could use the artwork, especially a long wheel contest that caters to a large database (i.e. MAME and GBA).
We are working on a project that will make things MUCH easier around here when it comes to wheel images and themes.
All systems are being audited. Instead of No-Intro dats we are going to have custom HyperSpin dats that people will need to use to name their roms. GBA is just the first system that Bill decided that we would start with. However, everything from XML files, dat files, wheel images and box art are being audited to make sure that each set is complete. If you check the forums you'll see that the GBA box art initiative has started to create a perfect GBA box art set.
The next set on the horizon is probably NES. I just completed the dat work for it and Bill will be adding our new extended genre system. A new XML will be created based on the new dat, once that is done then NES wheel images and box art will be audited. As of right now we do not have any quality NES wheel images in the standard format.
CD based systems are all going to be lower on the list as they are not as easy to audit as rom based systems. We may need to go as far as creating a custom naming convention for CD based systems.
If you want to head up the PSX initiative to get wheel art and box art going then by all means go for it... No one is stopping you. However, if the images don't live up to the new quality and standards that we are looking for then they will not be used in the final set.

Dazz, Thanks for the input. Sounds like great things are happening with Hyperspin and that is great. As I said before I have no photoshop skills and I really do not have the time to invest in learning, maybe once I get my Hyperspin cabinet completed I will try my hand at it. I am just a simple member who is willing to chip in where I can in order to help the artists do what they do in order to make this front end the best there is. Again thanks for your input and your hard work on this great front end.
We could make a wheel and box sets for the best PSX games.. Is anyone here with a full set of PSX ISOS's??? :hmmmm2:

And that guy MOZONE pm'd me saying he's almost done with all the NES regular style images and from the examples he posted in the NES thread I think they are great quality and will save us a ton of work. We'll probably be reworking and auditing some of the smaller systems over the next couple weeks and get those knocked out for a quick boost of accomplishment and work our way up from there.
Dazz mentioned an improved genre system, this is true and all games must fall under a specific set of genre's to make the new genre system work. So reworking all the xml's to reflect this is also a priority, so while were doing this we're also auding and finalizing the xml's and minting the wheel set's. If you see the word "final" after a version at HyperList then we're pretty much done with that xml and it is approved.

In my opinion it is not necessary contests with prizes, just a community and if we all participate a little, we can make a 300/400 set of wheels for playstation, 3000 do not need wheels.

There is no TOSEC PSX set. Wouldn't you mean redump set and even that one is far from being complete so I'm curious to what set you are referring to.

It's not THAT far from complete :) Only 218 more US titles to go. 3 months ago it is was close to 500 missing US titles. And of the 218 that are still missing, only about 50 of them are rare and expensive titles. A majority of them can be picked up for $5-10 each.
And now I'm doing things like this...

MrFaust : I know, but Dazz mentioned a FULL set for ALL regions. A complete US set is one thing, and it's probably possible combining redump with non-redump dumps, but a complete set for all regions it's not likely. That's why I was asking.
Great work on those covers btw they look fantastic.

I have about 60+ games on hand and several rentals that I have scanned. unfortunately I don't have as much time as I would like to edit them. Every game I dump, I scan all available artwork that goes with it. I'm still in the process of scanning the games I currently have. But I am actually looking for someone that know what they are doing to edit them for me.

Actually I am part of a project on a another forum to produce HIGH QUALITY scans for most systems. And when we really get it off the ground, this place will benefit from it. This is actually what started me down the road I've been on for the last year was to get to a place that would render more artwork for HyperSpin and other cover art projects. It would be nice to bring everyone together in an organized manner, but some of the supplying places for artwork on the kinds of places that others don't want anything to do with.
Which that subject is a rather fun on. You have places like thecoverproject.net that don't like any association with anything "warez" like related... yet they are freely distributing artwork that the same game companies hold the artwork. They are just as culpable in speading their "warez" even if it is modified as those that distribute the data portion of said games.
