Hi
Is it possible with a rom manager to build no intro sets from good merged ?
And for the snapshots, how to rename them ?
Actually all my sets are goodmerged ones (nes snes n64 genesis atari2600)

If they are all goodmerged, they have been renamed with that schema. To migrate to no-intro, you just need the CLRMamePro tool and the dat. It will rename any roms it can identify from the goodmerged set. I state identify as it is very likely that the goodmerge set has different versions of rom binaries to that of the no-intro set. I've been meaning to develop a tool for years to solve this problem, but just don't get time to complete it. Gawd I wish I was a student again!!!!

Ok, but the no-intro sets, are they merged roms ?
I mean each goodmerged ".7z" rom contain all the regions and versions of a game in it.

Oh, not having used goodmerge, I'm not sure. However, I doubt they are merged as in the sense that Mame roms are merged to reduce size. It's likely that the different regions are the full binaries. You'll be able to tell by the size, are they similar? If one is significantly bigger than the others, then there might be a tool that is able to work out the differences (I've not seen such a tool).
Therefore, each 7z probably has all regions. This is why I'm not so keen on the non-intro sets or any of the others for that matter!!! Which ever way you dice it, people wont be happy.

No the no-intro roms are not merged, its also not nearly as necessary because with good tools you might have have 60 versions of a game when you count in the hacks and all that other crap. With no-intro you don't have all those hacks and bad dumps and such.
If you want to convert them, and you will if you want to use the pre made database files included with hyperpsin and the themes will also be named after the no-intro games. Then just extract all those files(might even be a program called ungoodmerge or something simllar) and use clrmamepro or romcenter with the no-intro dats from http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=758 its the third file included with that post. The reason I say those specific dats and not ones from the no-intro website is that the database files were made with those specific dat files. If the no-intro guys update a dat then the games wouldn't match up. Since themes aren't stored with/contain the crc values this is way it has to be.
But the goodmerged are a good idea for the goodnamed roms since there is so much crap, but not really as necessary with the no-intro roms as there aren't as many "duplicates"
I made a post in this thread with some quick instructions for renaming your roms with clrmamepro http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=498 you won't end up with full no-intro sets when you rename from goodsets but you should have the majority since the no-intro guys include some games that goodtools don't.
