Looking forward to getting naomi 1/2 and atomiswave up and running in hyperspin. so far demul seems difficult at best, with having to use a loader and general difficulty using it. from your experience which of the emulators, demul, nulldc, or makaron have the best all around ability. from compatibility to ease of integration with hyperspin. and what advice do you have for the intigration/setup. Demul seems the best to me with access to the demul romsets.

I think Demul may be your only option for naomi 2 and atomiswave. Demul shouldn't be too hard to configure, have a look here:

I think someone may have done the hard work for you.
If you only want to use 1 then demul would probably be the best choice at the moment. It seems to support more games, automatically rotates vertical games, supports naomi 2 and atomiswave (and dreamcast), and has screen filtering for lcd folks. A lot of people (including myself) run more than one or all three and incorporate them all on the same wheel. for example, im using makaron to run mvc2 because demul keeps scrambling the sprites (may be a full screen switching issue, havent figured that one out yet). I use demul for all the verticals, and the horizontals are divided based on which emulator they run best on.
All three of these have also been updated recently with demul 0.5.6 and Makaron 12/5 being released in the last few weeks, and a new version of nulldc appearing a while back. With the most notable changes being CLI support for demul (no more loader), and resolution settings for makaron (no more 640 x 480 lock).

Treat the info here (same link as above). http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/sh...1&postcount=91
as just an entry point.
If you scroll down that thread a little you'll see that,
Djvj has taken it to a whole new level by adding new features to the script,
(most notably),
-major control tweaks
and other minor tweaks in the settings.ini.
-adjusted loading screen times
-minor typo cleanups
Not to mention some benchmarking.
He's also incuded a database with combined Demul,Makaron usage (multiple emus on 1 wheel) based on his benchmarking.
