I am trying to emulate 3DO using Freedo but I am getting choppy sound.

Any ideas?

Yeah, try one of the older versions. The choppy sound issue depends on the game you run. Freedo is supposed to go open source which should help, but to be honest I don't know what to believe of "admin" (the head freedo dev). According to him, at one point there was an xbox or Dreamcast version that was done (I forget which), just needed to get it duplicated. Next thing you know, there is no xbox or dreamcast version at all. It's possible the issue is one more of language, I don't think english is his first language.

My words are too harsh. Freedo works pretty good, try the various different versions, you may hit one that works well with whatever game you're trying to run.

Is that 1.8 I think?

Actually the freedo thats compatible with HL is 1.6.2, which seems to run better than the newer versions.

I have a question that I haven't seen the answer to anywhere, so it may be a bad/off limits question? if so, we can just delete this...
I have a bunch of 3do games that I would like to try using with freedo, but they are on the original little plastic/silver disks, how can I make those work with freedo? or do I have to travel to the dark scary corners of the web and collect already processed roms? seems silly since I have the games themselves...

Rip them to your hard drive, iso and cue files.

But my issue is with PSX. I have about 400 PS1 games on disk and I am too lazy to rip them to the hard drive. I would love to have a way to be able to select a specific image/theme and have it launch my script to open my DVD drive, launch the game/emu, and when esc is pressed it ejects the disk and returns back to HS. Not sure how to go about doing this yet....

I dont think that would be hard to do at all for the PS games, but for the freedo im not to sure about.

I loaded v1.8 beta and I get an error "ASPI Not Found". Games still load and play but the results are the same, choppy audio.

Search Google for ASPI and install.

I never got that error with 1.9, I mean is this going to have anything to do with sound issues?
