Here's my Journey theme. I really don't have the skills in Photoshop or Illustrator to do anything more with it so I'll leave it up to you guys to approve it or not. When activated on wheel (in order):
the Journey title PULSES FAST
the video EASES from top to middle of screen
top 2 heads EASE in from lf to rt
bottom 2 heads EASE in from rt to lf
Steve Perry's head EASES from bottom
ALL THE HEADS hoover around
Thanks for looking

Yeah, I really don't care too much for the game but when the heads are just hoovering it cracks me up too, just like the giant heads in the game. I guess the cool thing is that all the artwork is from the game/flyer.

This game is awesome. I was just thinking how surprised I was that this wasnt a theme yet.
I guess some people might want to see the video, so maybe move that bottom head somewhere else? Up top?
This theme is all about the music! You should put a tape player it the theme...lol. Ok, dont do that

Good idea about the video. I'll move the head up and see how that looks and then post a pic.

Here's the theme with Perry's head on top so more of the video can be seen. You like this one better?

Better. Only other opinion would be to move the bottom left head over a bit so it looks like they're circling.
Either that or divide the screen in half and have the heads on 1 half, and the video on the other half. That way everything can be clearly seen (heads, video, and logo). Some may like that idea.
I think you should just move the one head and be done with it. Good job!

I'll try one more time with the split screen and see what you think. That way I'll have 3 variations. Will post sometime this weekend.

Urbecrisch,
I'm glad and surprised to see someone taking on this particular game. I'm a huge fan of the band, and the game is pretty fun.
I'm just going to give you one criticism. I'm a stickler for aspect ratio. And that Journey side-art background image is seriously stretched out on the x-axis, in an effort to fill out the entire background I'd assume? I may be alone in this opinion, but I'd MUCH rather see the image in its proper aspect ratio and have black bars on the sides (the artwork fades toward black around the edges anyway, and that can be further blended for a smooth transition), than have it stretched just for the sake of taking up the whole screen.
If you like, I'd be glad to work up an image like I'm describing for you...

This theme is funny. I like the disembodied heads!

Here's the third version using Evegame's image. I think I like this one the best so far. What do you guys think?

Wow, that turned out pretty well. Better than I thought. I like them both, so pick your favorite.

That gets my vote, urbecrisch. Very clean.
Just a random thought as I look at that theme... how would it look with the band members faces in black-and-white instead of color? In the game, they are black and white, so that might be a nice tie-in. Or, it might look awful, who knows. Just a thought.
Good work on this theme!

may be if you could smooth the edges of the heads it would look better. I never played the game until a few minutes ago and honestly did't like it, but my only suggestion for this theme would be that. smooth the edge of every head because that looks like you just crop and image freehand.

tk375, that's exactly what I was going to do. The white edging is bothersome. I think after I do that the theme will be complete. I didn't like the heads B&W so I'm keeping them color.

Per TK375's request, I smoothed out the edges around the heads so there's no white outline. Looks great now and I got many compliments on the theme this past weekend. So I'm ready to upload it...how do I do that again?
